The sweet scent of the exfoliating scrub makes showering a delightful experience. It's gentle enough to use on bare skin and even after hair removal, without causing pain or irritation. Having to use it with wet hands and then close the container? I mean, it's not like we're eating it, but it still feels a bit off. - di**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJan 11, 2025
Effectively removes dead skin cells. Frequent sales allow for affordable purchases. Using once a week, it lasts about 3 months. Has a pleasantly sweet scent. The large granules can be irritating to the skin. The sweet fragrance might not be to everyone's liking. - eu********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 6, 2024
The scrub works amazingly well! My skin feels incredibly soft. I even tried tasting it, and it wasn't bad! There wasn't a single thing I disliked about it. I've already gone through 3 bottles of this size. Instead of using it on completely dry skin, try lightly misting your face first. This is great for when you've already exfoliated recently or when you have an important event the next day and need to care for dead skin cells. If you use it gently, it won't remove the top layer of skin, making it suitable for use even in these situations. - t0**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedMar 1, 2024

I'm going to review the Black Sugar Scrub recommended by an Olive Young employee! This was my first time trying a scrub product from Skinfood. Advantages: - After use, your skin becomes incredibly soft, like baby skin - It temporarily reduces texture, though it may return if not used regularly - The sugar-like granules give a feeling of deeper cleansing, though they're slightly large - Blackheads seem to disappear briefly, but may return without frequent use - Does a decent job at removing dead skin cells, which is great - It's nice that you can use it on your body too Disadvantages: - The granules are a bit large, so it might be uncomfortable for those with sensitive skin - You need to use it consistently for best results, but don't overdo it. About 3 times a week is ideal. That's about all for the downsides. I recommend it! - Hwahae UserDry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 13, 2024
I used to make DIY natural face masks at home by mixing brown sugar and honey, but I always struggled with getting the proportions right. I ended up wasting more than I used, so I stopped. Then I discovered Skinfood's Black Sugar Scrub! The Black Sugar Perfect Essential Scrub 2X is made with black sugar and rice wine. It also contains macadamia seed oil and meadowfoam seed oil, which nourish, hydrate, and soothe the skin. It's like an all-in-one miracle scrub! When my skin gets rough and flaky, I just apply a bit of this scrub and massage it in. It's so easy to use! After rinsing, my skin feels smooth and moisturized. I've been using it once or twice a week. The Perfect Essential Scrub 2X is finely ground to minimize irritation, so I can use it without worrying about sensitivity. What's great is that it's suitable for both face and body, so I don't need to buy a separate body scrub. It's so convenient! I can't think of any downsides! The amount you get is generous, and it's just lovely to use. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 7, 2023
The areas where I used the scrub became incredibly smooth and soft. It seems to be most effective for removing dead skin cells. Since I have sensitive skin, the granules felt quite irritating to me. I recommend using a spoon or similar tool to scoop out the product rather than using your hands. The formula produces a slight lather when it comes into contact with water, so it's best to keep it dry until use. - pi******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedNov 22, 2023
It's gentle on the skin, exfoliates well, and leaves my complexion looking better after use It's good, and I liked it, but it just feels average, so I didn't repurchase. It's worth trying once though - ys*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2021
I've been using this product every 3-4 days since December 8, 2020! ✔️Scent: It smells exactly like brown sugar. I accidentally got some in my mouth while using it, and it even tasted sweet! ✔️Texture: I was surprised by how firm it was - I expected a gentle scrub! The granules feel just like real sugar. ✔️Results: While it's not the most effective at removing dead skin cells, I did notice a slight improvement. What really amazed me was how it transformed my skin texture!! My skin became incredibly soft and smooth! This velvety feeling isn't just for the face - it works wonders on the body too! ✔️Packaging: It's a bit inconvenient to use... Scooping it out with your fingers can be messy, and if water gets in, the top layer turns white, which feels a bit unsanitary. Since I use my hands to scoop it out, that's why I mentioned the inconvenience. If you use a different tool, I think there wouldn't be any downsides at all! - ni********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 1, 2019
1. This scrub has a rich texture that's great for use on the body! It's packed with sugar granules, so when you apply and massage it, there's a bit of exfoliation. While it might feel slightly intense, it seems to effectively remove dead skin cells. 2. Don't use this on your face!! It's likely too harsh. However, I highly recommend using it on your heels and elbows. Just avoid sensitive areas like the underarms where the skin is delicate. 3. It's best to use a spatula or scoop to take out the product. Trying to scoop it out with wet hands feels a bit unsanitary.
