This cream has a translucent, lightweight texture that spreads easily and smoothly. It feels like it replenishes both moisture and oil. When applied, it's bursting with hydration, but after a while, only a slight oiliness remains on the face (creating a natural glow). Since it balances both oil and moisture, it's great for use in any season. I think it's particularly suitable for those with dry skin. Even though I don't have super sensitive skin, this cream was a bit irritating. While it's not always irritating, it stings about 80% of the time when applied to acne-prone areas, and it tingles all over my face on days after exfoliation. So, those with sensitive or acne-prone skin should definitely avoid it. It doesn't cause breakouts, but when applied to areas with redness, instead of calming the skin, it makes it even more flushed. The product claims to have anti-wrinkle and brightening properties, but I didn't see any effects. Although it's fragrance-free, there's a citrus scent to the cream which I didn't like at first. I got used to it over time, but it has a sharp, cool smell. I find it useful for applying a thin layer on rough hands in winter. It gives off a nice citrus scent and helps smooth out rough skin. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 14, 2020
Complexion improvement: I can feel my skin tone becoming clearer after use. It gives me the impression that my skin is becoming more translucent. Fading of blemish marks: Some small blemish marks have disappeared, and overall, the marks from blemishes have become less noticeable. Packaging improvement: Previously, the aluminum packaging was inconvenient to use, and the outer layer would come off, getting on my hands. Now that it's changed to a tube container, those inconveniences are gone. Skin feel: It can sting when applied to sensitive skin. A patch test is essential for those with super sensitive skin! Since this cream contains brightening active ingredients, I made sure to apply sunscreen diligently. To be on the safe side, I only used it at night. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 24, 2019
It's affordable and has clean ingredients! The tube packaging makes it convenient to use. I used to love this product, but suddenly it stopped agreeing with my skin. When I applied it, my skin felt a tingling sensation, so I had to discontinue use. With its clean ingredients and reasonable price, it might be worth giving it a try. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 8, 2019
Not only was the original price affordable, but I got it during a 1:1 sale, so I snagged it for an incredibly low price of 4500 won each! That's the advantage of A'pieu! The ointment-type packaging allowed for hygienic use. It has a slightly runny consistency, but once it absorbs, it leaves the skin feeling fresh. The absorption was quite slow. Even though it's not a product that typically leaves a white cast, it took a long time to sink in... I also disliked the scent. It had a medicinal smell, reminiscent of vitamin pills. I was expecting a fresh fragrance, but sadly that wasn't the case. While sea buckthorn oil is said to be gentle, this cream in particular made my face slightly tingly, unlike other products containing this oil. I'm not sure if it was the sea buckthorn that didn't agree with me... While it didn't cause any blemishes, I disliked the tingling sensation after application so much that I only used it once or twice before it became a permanent resident in my drawer. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 9, 2019
The oil and moisture balance might be a bit lacking for those with oily or normal skin, but it should be just right for them. The ingredients are good quality and the price seems reasonable too. There's a slight tingling sensation when applying... For me personally, it lacks both richness and hydration. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 20, 2018
It provides good hydration, keeping the skin moisturized. It's not too heavy for summer use. For those with dry skin, it might be a bit light in winter but offers just the right amount of moisture in summer. I didn't experience any blemishes after applying it. It stings quite a bit when first applied. Although it gets better with continued use, it's still a bit disappointing. Also, due to its vitamin content, I can't use it in the morning or afternoon. I applied it generously like a sleeping mask during summer nights. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 4, 2018
I must have gone through 4 or 5 tubes of this. First off, I love how it's moisturizing and strikes the perfect oil and moisture balance. But what really impressed me was how much it improved my skin texture. It's like you can actually see your skin getting smoother day by day after cleansing in the morning. The citrus scent is refreshing, making it ideal as a summer cream for dry combination skin. Plus, it's budget-friendly. I've also noticed my overall complexion becoming more even. It can be a bit harsh. When my skin is super sensitive, applying this makes my whole face feel tingly and burning. At first, you might think it's a heavy cream, but as you spread it, it melts right in with a great hydrating texture. It's neither too rich nor too light. The packaging has changed! It's no longer in an aluminum tube, but now comes in a plastic squeeze tube! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 10, 2018
I've had great success with A'pieu's Cica Gel, and after researching sea buckthorn, I was impressed by its benefits. The affordable price and gentle ingredients led me to purchase this product. When buying skincare, I focus on ingredients and value rather than brand names, as I believe most products are quite similar in quality. The texture is lovely - it applies smoothly with a silky cream consistency. The absorption seems good too, with no pilling or residue. The great value allowed me to use it generously without worry. I rarely experienced blemishes from skincare products before, so I only avoided ingredients I disliked (oddly enough, PEG compounds never appealed to me). Now I realize I need to be more cautious. After using this cream, my skin started tingling and became red and irritated. I've had a few pimples from the CHA:LAB Madeca Cream before, but never such widespread redness. I think using incompatible products back-to-back has made my skin more sensitive. Comparing the two, I noticed this cream contains quite a few essential oils, especially one that seems to be used as a fragrance. I suspect these aromatic oils were too harsh for my skin. Interestingly, only my face reacted, so I'll use the remaining product as a neck cream to avoid waste. Fortunately, applying fresh aloe vera on cotton pads as a mask is helping to soothe my skin. While it's not serious enough to warrant a dermatologist visit, this first-time reaction has made me more careful. When examining ingredients, don't just trust that all 'green' ingredients are safe. Pay attention to the order they're listed in, as this indicates concentration. I'm sure many of you are more knowledgeable, but please scrutinize products marketed as 'gentle' carefully. Here's to everyone achieving beautiful skin! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 26, 2018
I'm a fan of this product because it feels lighter than madecassoside cream but seems to have similar effects It stung a bit on some areas, which might indicate I have slightly sensitive skin in those spots - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJan 17, 2018
It's incredibly hydrating with a slightly chewy, mochi-like moistness. I really think it has whitening effects, and it tingles a bit when applied to blemishes. First of all, the ingredients are so gentle. Every time I use it, I'm praying it doesn't get discontinued. It's only $9, so give it a try! The Madecassoside Balm from A'PIEU is also really great - using them together is amazing! The cream feels like it sits on top of the skin a bit, and if you don't like the tingling sensation, I wouldn't recommend it! If you pat it in well when applying to help it absorb, it feels less like it's sitting on top of the skin.
