Skin type: Milia-prone, shade 23 with yellow undertones and redness, dry & combination skin Preferred cushions: Clio or dewy cushions Pros: 1. Fantastic color (N3) Unless you have very fair skin, this cushion looks even prettier than NARS It's perfect for shade 23 with redness - many cushions are hit or miss, but this is the best match I've found It has more of an orange tint rather than yellow 2. Balanced glow and longevity For a dewy cushion, it has decent staying power and a nice glow It fades gracefully 3. Medium to high coverage (Similar to Clio cushion but with slightly less coverage) I've tried everything from drugstore to high-end cushions, and Clio was my favorite This one comes in second after Shiseido My friend raved about it, and reviews were above average It's similar to Clio but with slightly less coverage (Doesn't settle into under-eye wrinkles, no caking on cheeks, covers pores well) 4. Decent adherence & minimal oxidation The puff is quite good It holds a lot of product and releases it well onto the skin With proper amount control, you can achieve good coverage Be careful not to apply too much, or it can feel heavy (Longevity isn't as good as Clio, but oxidation is minimal) Cons: 1. Extremely expensive - regular price is 55,000 won 2. Very little product - only 12g, and refills are hard to find 3. Limited shade range - G2 or N3 for shade 23 - N1.5 or N2 might work for shades 21-22 4. Beautiful dewy finish (not ideal if you prefer semi-matte cushions) Adheres well to skin, but the moisturizing glow can transfer to phone cases or hands 5. Longevity isn't great (Fades quickly around the nose due to oil) 6. Best suited for dry or combination dehydrated skin - Oily skin types might find this an expensive touch-up cushion 7. Feels moisturizing on top, but can be drying - Recommend using a slightly oily sunscreen or hydrating base underneath I think it's best to use a slightly oily sunscreen or hydrating base underneath. Alternatively, you can spray some face mist on the puff and apply a thin layer for beautiful pore coverage and overall coverage. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 29, 2018
1. Deeply hydrating 2. Compact size makes it convenient to carry around 3. Absorbs well without leaving residue 4. Great value for money The only slight drawback is a bit of darkening, but that's really the only issue - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 29, 2017
Shade 23 does a great job of correcting my dull complexion. It minimizes the appearance of dead skin cells and pores while providing some coverage. I have oily skin that lacks hydration, and despite using a drying sunscreen, it keeps my skin feeling moisturized deep down even in chilly weather or in front of air conditioning. Unlike Estée Lauder Double Wear or other cushions that left my skin feeling tight, I've never experienced that with this. As time passes, there's minimal darkening, and it beautifully blends with my skin's natural oils for a radiant finish. When I met my husband outside after applying it, he immediately asked why I looked so pretty today. Touch-ups are effortless and seamless. The Hwahae Testers are currently running a 3+1 refill promotion, so I bought it within a week. It applies well with just a small amount, and the puff itself is excellent. You don't need to pat it on heavily - the puff is designed perfectly for this cushion, making it easy to apply following the skin's texture. It's neither a typical cushion puff nor a powder puff, but the optimal applicator for this product. I wish the price was slightly lower. Of course, after trying all department store and road shop cushions, this has become my holy grail cushion because it really suits my skin tone. Don't use too much product - it applies well with just a small amount. Lightly dab and apply following your skin's texture, then touch up to enhance the glow! - am********Combination SkinAcne SkinAug 10, 2017
The coverage is great and it adheres well to the skin. I also love how it leaves a moisturized finish. It's likely to suit those who typically use shade 23 from drugstore brands. The price for just 12 grams... That's why I use a different cushion for touch-ups. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinDec 1, 2016
The coverage is absolutely fantastic! The staying power is great too. I love that there's a wide range of shades available. You only need to apply a little to get good coverage - it's like a foundation. While other brands claiming to be the original cushion leave finger marks and don't last more than a few hours, this one keeps my morning makeup intact all day long. The case looks luxurious too. I bought it during a promotion where you get a free case when you buy two refills. I'll definitely repurchase! The refill price is quite steep. Cushions tend to run out quickly due to their nature. While the case looks pretty, it doesn't seem very durable.
