The ingredients are excellent, which is why I immediately purchased this toner as soon as it was restocked after being sold out. I've been using it right after cleansing, and I've noticed my skin has become much brighter. It also provides great hydration, leaving my skin feeling moisturized. What I love most is how it has significantly calmed my redness. Lately, I've been storing it in the refrigerator and using it like a mask - it seems even better than most actual masks! The gentle ingredients and slightly acidic pH make it perfect for the popular '7-skin method'. I think this will become my holy grail toner that I'll use consistently. It's a bit disappointing that the bottle empties quickly when using the 7-skin method. Here's a great tip: Soak cotton pads generously with the toner, seal them in a container, and store in the freezer. On hot days when your skin feels tired, take one out and use it as a cooling mask. It's so refreshing and soothing - absolutely fantastic! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 15, 2017
Skin type: Combination The ingredients are gentle and the overall experience wasn't bad. It doesn't feel extremely hydrating and it's not an oil mist, so I didn't get that super moisturized feeling. However, it seems to work well on those tiny bumps on the skin. The scent is okay, and since it's relatively inexpensive, I plan to repurchase and use it again. I used the phyto toner with a spray cap, but the flower petals from the bottom of the toner come up and stick to my face. When the bottle is almost empty, even though there's still some toner left, I can't use it up completely because of the petals. They block the spray nozzle, making it hard for the product to come out. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 26, 2017
My acne was really bad in January. I was using a toner that was supposed to be good for acne, but then I discovered Hwahae and learned it was actually making my breakouts worse. I heard that calendula is great for soothing skin, so I found out about Kiehl's Calendula Toner and its more affordable dupe, Snow Calendula Toner (around $20 during sales). I bought cotton pads with 5 layers and used them morning and night after cleansing, like a mask, to calm my skin and reduce inflammation. While it didn't make my blemishes disappear completely, it definitely soothed my skin and gradually reduced the redness that had been getting worse. The price... it's the same as Kiehl's... It's only a dupe when it's on sale... Please, company folks, we need your help with this! Soak a cotton pad and place it on your blemishes for 5 minutes morning and night, then let the skin absorb the product. Since it's only hydration, using it alone might be drying, so apply a cica product afterwards (there are so many these days) - it works wonders! - Hwahae UserOily SkinMar 19, 2017
I bought this because it's a gentle, slightly acidic product. It doesn't have any artificial fragrance and seems mild. The calendula leaves are floating around in there! The lid is a bit inconvenient as the product keeps leaking out. Being slightly acidic, it might cause a slight tingling sensation when you first use it. - yj*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityMar 6, 2017
I didn't notice much at first, but I consistently applied it every night before bed. Then, at some point, I started feeling like my skin was becoming clearer and softer. I think it's great for people with oily skin too. The ingredients are gentle, and it's just wonderful overall. Please don't discontinue this product! The only downside is that the lid tends to get a bit messy towards the end of use. - hy*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 3, 2017
It seems incredibly gentle! The scent isn't off-putting either. It didn't agree with my skin, as I noticed small bumps appearing here and there. This might just be my personal experience though! Nothing to add. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 20, 2017
I bought this product to try the '7-skin method'. While I don't use it alone, it's a great lightweight option that doesn't irritate my skin. It's perfect for gentle layering. The bottle cap makes it difficult to control the amount of product dispensed, which can be inconvenient. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 20, 2017
I use it for cleansing, but since I'm prone to blemishes, I mostly use it as a mask by soaking cotton pads to soothe my skin. The gentle ingredients make me trust it, and I'm happy that it doesn't cause more small pimples while using it. The lid is still not great. It's somewhat manageable when soaking cotton pads, but when pouring into my palm, it always spills. I also recommend transferring it to a different container. - hw*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessFeb 11, 2017
First off, the ingredients are absolutely fantastic! As my weight increased, my skin became more sensitive. I usually apply this toner three times, followed by the Snow Ampoule. Even though I have severe combination dehydrated skin, especially in summer, I think just using this toner and the ampoule might be enough! What's more, they often have promotions for the toner and ampoule together, which makes it even better! And it's so affordable too! Hmm... While it works fine for me, the color of the toner - is it orange? Clay-like? Yellow? - might be off-putting for some people. I apply this toner in three layers! It's great to use on the neck too! - al**********Combination SkinAcne SkinFeb 8, 2017
First off, I was amazed at how gentle the ingredients are. I've been using it for about 1-2 weeks, and it's so mild and pleasant. The scent is subtle too. I bought the large size and transferred some into my usual spray bottle. My husband, who's been a long-time user of Kiehl's men's products, says this one is fantastic, so we're both enjoying it together. If I had used it straight from the original bottle, it might have been a bit inconvenient. I've heard from long-time users that as the product level decreases, the flowers inside come out, which can be bothersome. Try putting it in a spray bottle with good dispensing power. It's much more convenient that way!
