Clinique's Cheek Pop is a baked blush, so it seems to have no excess powder fallout. It provides a transparent and clear color payoff that doesn't become cakey or too intense. You might have wondered if it's worth the price, but compared to other blushers, you'll fall in love with Cheek Pop's unique watercolor-like hues that melt into your skin. It definitely has merits in terms of pigmentation and texture. I have a winter cool tone strong type with neutral skin that leans yellow, and thanks to the clear color that builds up beautifully even after multiple applications, it was perfect for creating a pretty lavender-pink makeup look! Pansy Pop is a medium-brightness, high-chroma lavender blusher. While many review photos show it as very purple, on the face it's actually about 70-80% cool pink, resulting in a light purple-pink shade! As you layer it, the color intensity increases without becoming muddy, so it might be a bit challenging for dark or mute tones. I'd recommend it for summer cool light, summer cool true, winter cool bright, and strong types. Pansy Pop, being a lavender shade, will definitely suit those with a cooler undertone better than those with a more neutral complexion. The pigmentation allows for thin, light layering, creating a natural 'barely-there' look that all cool-toned individuals can utilize well! Looking at the swatch, even though I've layered it heavily with my finger, you can see the sophisticated pearl finish and how it blurs beautifully without being excessive. Notice how the color remains clear in the photo despite multiple applications? This is absolutely my holy grail blusher! The color payoff tends to be weak with most standard blush brushes on the market. While I recommend using a sponge puff, if you prefer brushes, you might want to use one with dense, even bristles. For cushion puffs, dab the product onto the puff, then start patting it onto your skin from where you want the most color, blending outwards to soften the edges. For layering, keep tapping and repeating until you achieve your desired intensity. Puffs and sponges give much better color payoff than brushes, so always test on the back of your hand first! - g5***Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 10, 2023
I was hesitant at first, thinking it might be too bold just looking at the true color. But when I heard it was perfect for cool tones, I decided to give it a try! I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. As someone with a cool winter complexion, I found that when I carefully control the amount and layer it with Ballerina Pop, it looks absolutely stunning. The color is just my style! There's nothing particularly bad about it! If I had to pick something, maybe the price is a tad steep...? If you're using it alone, be sure to control the amount. But when you layer it with other products, it looks beautiful!
