  Pros: 1. Natural brightening When foundation feels too heavy, this product alone gives you a natural and radiant look! 2. Hydration It's incredibly moisturizing! Perfect as a base, and when you apply foundation over it, it's an absolute dream combo! 3. Application It applies like an emulsion and you can cover your entire face with just a small amount

  Cons: 1. Pilling If you apply too much or layer it multiple times, it can start to pill! Instead of absorbing, it tends to roll off when you add more

  The brightening moisturizer definitely seems to work. Compared to the untreated side, even a small amount makes the skin noticeably brighter.

  Cons

  While it feels like it adheres well to the skin, it also tends to create a patchy appearance and settle into fine lines. I have dry skin with some dead skin cells, and even with a solid skincare base, it still looks a bit uneven. Out of curiosity, I applied it to the back of my hand over my regular skincare products, and after a short while, it started to look like a matte foundation applied in the dead of winter - flaking and cracking.

  Unlike most brightening moisturizers that tend to make your skin feel tight or dry, this Manuka cream provides a moisturizing tone-up effect. It's not stark white, but rather a soft beige color, so it doesn't leave a chalky appearance. Instead, it evens out your complexion in a really natural way, which I love.

  Cons

  I'm on my second bottle and just discovered the Hwahae app. When I searched for this product, I was shocked to find it contains more potentially harmful ingredients than I expected. However, I'm still using it because I really like how it works for me.

  Just a small amount brightens up the skin nicely. The scent is totally my style - so delightfully sweet! After application, my skin feels soft and powdery.

  Cons

  It can look patchy if you don't moisturize well beforehand. Applying too much leads to pilling. Sometimes it transfers onto my phone - maybe because I'm using too much?

  It does have a slight brightening effect. I recommend applying just a small amount rather than slathering it on.

  The absorption didn't feel great to me. It seems like it didn't agree with my skin, as I noticed some blemishes appearing.
