Pros

This has been the most satisfying facial oil I've used so far! 1. It's really great for hydration. I have very dry skin, and in the winter, when I mix it with a cream, it applies smoothly and immediately nourishes my skin. 2. The texture: It's not a formula that absorbs right away, but it's not one that just sits on the surface either. In the winter or on dry days, I can use this product lightly and still be able to apply makeup on top. 3. I didn't notice it when using, but my partner said they could smell something like a pencil or a nutty scent from my forehead. But I couldn't really detect it myself, so it's not a major issue!

Cons

Since it's in a squeeze tube, adjusting the amount can be less convenient than a dropper bottle. And I bought it overseas, so it wasn't as expensive as it is here in Korea - it's really pricey here :(

My beloved Hoho ba. As winter approaches... no matter what I apply, my skin becomes dry, cracked, flaky, itchy. Even if I constantly reapply creams, my skin turns red. Since it was so itchy... I stumbled upon this oil while searching online... Shall I give it a try?? After waiting for 5 days, I received the delivery.. I mixed it with a skin toner and.. without even washing, I just sprayed it on.. A few hours later.. I was in awe. The itchiness disappeared in a few minutes.. Gradually, the dryness vanished.. After two days, even the blemishes calmed down, leaving only the marks.. It's a whole new world.

No, nothing at all. The only good thing is that the overseas shipping is cheap?? The downside is that it takes a long time?? Since the first product was Melvita, I'm a little hesitant to try other Hoho ba oils.

I love it so much! I mix it into my cream and foundation and have been using it that way.

I bought this oil believing that the Melvita ingredients were good, but when I tried it, the feel was really just an average oil. After applying it to my face a few times, it felt greasy and caused acne, so I can no longer use it on my face. I'm only using it on my body now, and it works better when applied with a body lotion, as the application is smoother. But even then, it doesn't seem to be absorbing very well.

Cons

The cap is really inconvenient, it would be better if the container was changed.

As winter set in, my face became dry and flushed, so I went to a dermatologist. They said my skin barrier had been compromised, and advised me to focus on moisturizing. I purchased some Hohouba oil, as I heard it's good for oily skin with dehydration issues. This oil is wonderful! I apply it morning and night, and my skin doesn't get red, itchy, or irritated at all. It's so nourishing and hydrating. Especially since the Melvita brand is organic, I'll be using this throughout the winter. Haha.

Cons

The dispenser is quite unusual. I thought it was a pump, so I bought it without much thought, but there's a big hole in it. If I tilt my hand, the oil drips out drop by drop. The oil gets all over the opening, which seems unhygienic. I wipe the opening each time I use it, but it's inconvenient.

Tip

After using the ampoule in the morning and evening, I apply a drop of the oil to my face and gently press it in. This keeps my skin hydrated all day long.

For the past several years, I have been living in a very dry foreign country, where the quality of commercial cosmetics is relatively poor and expensive, so I have neglected my beauty routine. I only used a soothing skin lotion that didn't cause any trouble, but I always felt a tightness. When I was in Korea, I bought and tried many famous and gentle products, but they ended up irritating my skin, and I had to visit a dermatologist. My skin is on the darker side and lacks redness. I always have something on my forehead and around my philtrum. After makeup, my T-zone gets oily in the afternoon, and my skin tends to be slightly dry. This has been the case throughout my 20s, no matter where I lived. I've known that oil-based and whitening products don't suit me since I was in Korea. Applying oil-based products makes my skin itchy, and using face masks always leads to breakouts. When I moved to Japan, new types of blemishes started appearing, so I decided to look into the topic of skin barrier. After that, I switched to the Etude House Soonjung 6.5 foam cleanser and changed my shampoo and body wash to mildly acidic ones. I also immediately purchased this Hohouba oil from Amazon and tried it. It's amazing - just by changing the cleanser, my skin feels more comfortable. Now, I don't need to apply many products, and the Soonjung skin and Hohouba oil are sufficient for my summer hydration. My nose no longer gets oily, regardless of whether I wear makeup or not. This is truly incredible... I think this is what they call a good oil-water balance. I no longer need sebum control products... In the winter, I plan to mix the oil with my lotion or cream. It seems to cost around 2,000 yen on the Japanese Amazon, but according to the Hwahae app, it's in the 40,000 won range, which seems quite expensive. The opening leaks a bit every time I tilt the bottle, but I've been wiping it and applying it to my lips. Anyway, since it's an oil, the cap is also slippery, and it can be a bit of a hassle at times. I tried massaging my scalp with it before shampooing, but massaging with just the oil isn't as easy as I thought, and I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. - I bought it to mix with the Cyanic essence. - I've already shared some of the mist with my friends and I'm on my third bottle, having used it for about 6 months. If I have this much left, it seems like it would last me, a normal user, for at least a year. - Considering long-term use, the price is not overly expensive.

- I made a mist by mixing Cyanic and jojoba, and used it as a skincare base... Hmm, I felt like 'do I really need to do this?' Although jojoba oil is said to help control whiteheads and improve blackheads, I haven't seen any effects at all. But at least it hasn't made things worse, so I guess that's a relief. I didn't have blackheads to begin with, but I don't even feel like the whiteheads have decreased. - I don't think I'll repurchase it. It's just so-so for my skin...

It has good moisturizing power and the fragrance is not too strong, which I like. I've applied the oil first and then mixed it into the cream, and both methods worked well. My face doesn't feel oily either. Even those with oily skin should be able to use this product comfortably as it has sufficient oil content but doesn't make the face feel greasy.

Cons

Everything else is good, but the packaging is inconvenient. I didn't notice it at first, but as the product level goes down, you can't use it unless you tilt the container in the direction of the dropper. When you tilt it and pump, it sprays out too much.

Pros

I recently bought the Hohouba oil for the first time, knowing it's good. I was worried it might cause breakouts since it's a natural oil, but fortunately it worked well for me. I mix it into my creams and body lotions, and also use it for shoulder massages by applying it to my hands. It absorbs well without feeling heavy, even when I apply it over my creams. As a lightweight oil, it seems suitable for use in small amounts by those with oily skin as well. I've heard Hohouba oil is good for removing blackheads, but since I haven't been diligent about using it regularly, the blackheads are still my constant companion. However, when I do use it during my showers and my pores open up, gently massaging it in and then cleansing with a face wash does make my skin feel smoother.

Cons

As shown in the picture, it can get messy if you use it that way. Still, pumping seems more hygienic.
