It feels refreshing and quickly replenishes hydration! While the '7-skin method' is typically done with watery toners, I use this product about 3 times in a row since it has a similar fluid texture. A potential advantage is that even with repeated application, the product seems to last forever. After it's fully absorbed, my skin feels smooth and deeply moisturized!
ConsAs we all know, Clinique doesn't use fragrances in their products. I'm not particularly picky about scents and can tolerate most, but this Moisture Surge has a rather peculiar smell compared to other Clinique products. It's a mix of plastic, urban air, and something slightly musty. If you're looking for fragrance-free, this might work for you, but remember - fragrance-free doesn't mean odorless!
TipI've also tried the moisturizer from the same line, but found its hydrating power to be somewhat lacking. While this product is great for replenishing moisture, it doesn't seem to help much with dead skin cells. I use an exfoliating product before applying this in three layers. This routine might suffice in summer, but for winter, I top it off with Skinfood's Hydrating Cream. I find it more hydrating and longer-lasting than the moisturizer from this line - it even stays on overnight! I'd recommend using an exfoliating toner before this product. Personally, I use COSRX's One Step Original Clear Pad!
