I used to avoid oils, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how lightweight this one feels and how well it absorbs without feeling heavy. Plus, I usually skip sunscreen because it's a hassle, but knowing this has some UV protection is a bonus. I typically struggle to finish a bottle of oil, but the fact that I used this one up completely shows how satisfied I am with it. Being an oil, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry... However, it doesn't keep my skin hydrated for long, and it only provides basic protection against makeup pilling. While its lightweight texture makes it perfect for summer, I wouldn't really recommend it for winter use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinJan 6, 2018
I have very dry skin, and when I heard this was Tonymoly's first attempt, I thought it might be too chalky. But I bought it anyway, and wow! It gives such a beautiful, dewy glow. My skin looks so radiant and moisturized! I'm not sure how much product to use. I tried it with a compact foundation, and sometimes it would pill up like dead skin cells on my face. It's probably my fault, but if you use too much, it seems like it might cause pilling. - bi********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDec 11, 2017
Perfect for winter sun care with oil for dry skin. It's incredibly moisturizing and wonderful! Caution: Eye irritation alert! It stings so badly I can barely open my eyes. Sadly, I can only apply it lightly on my cheeks... Mix it with your moisturizer for a hydration explosion! - di****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRednessOct 24, 2017
1. First off, I love the high SPF, which made me feel secure using it in summer. My skin is sensitive and dry, so most sunscreens don't work well for me. I've been using products over $100, but this affordable option left me incredibly satisfied. It's great value for money and kept my skin comfortable throughout summer. 2. Secondly, it gives a real 'Inner Glow' effect. While summer foundations can be a bit thick and drying, applying this oil and letting it absorb before foundation creates a luminous complexion. 1. As many have pointed out, it feels a bit wasteful. I wasn't sure how much to apply at first - sometimes I'd slather it on, other times I'd use too little. It took until I was nearly finished with the bottle to figure out the right amount. 2. The gold part of the packaging and the text completely wore off... it looks really cheap now. I have oil bottles from other brands, but this one's particularly bad. Please try to use more durable materials for the packaging that don't rub off so easily! Many people suggested blending as a tip, but as far as I know, you shouldn't blend sunscreen products as it can affect their effectiveness. For proper sun protection, apply this product alone and let it absorb well. If you want that Inner Glow effect, try blending with a different oil instead. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 23, 2017
As someone with dry skin that gets flaky even in summer (though not as bad as winter), I was looking for a full-coverage foundation and bought Double Wear. But alas, it was still too drying! This product, however, saved the day! I love that I can now enjoy Double Wear's longevity and coverage without my face cracking. Since I started using this, I've been getting lots of compliments on how well my makeup sits. I mix two drops of this with one pump of foundation. I can't really think of any major drawbacks. Perhaps just that it can't completely replace sunscreen? I still apply sunscreen separately and use this as a daily oil that gives me peace of mind about sun protection. It works great when mixed with sunscreens that don't absorb well. I use the A24 sunscreen, which is highly ranked on Hwahae, but it has a slightly thick texture. Adding a drop or two of this oil makes it apply so much better! - do****Combination SkinApr 16, 2017
The ingredients are great! I apply a few drops before makeup, and mix it with my makeup base for the next step. It provides natural sun protection and keeps my skin hydrated! I'm not sure about the proper dosage, so I'd recommend it as a supplementary product. The lid is quite poor quality - the gold part came off. It's become inconvenient to open and close, so I'm hoping this aspect will be improved. Mix it with a matte foundation or BB cream for that perfect Inner Glow! It really shines in dry weather, especially during fall and winter. Additional tip: Applying this under mineral sunscreen is fantastic because its oil formula helps prevent the dryness often associated with mineral sunscreens. It seems to provide a double layer of sun protection too! In any case, I find myself using this oil a lot more when fall and winter come around. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 22, 2017
When mixed with cream, it gives a natural glow that reduces dryness! The best part is you don't need to apply sunscreen separately! It's a bit tricky to use on its own, so you need to mix it with something else Add 4-5 drops to your hydrating or moisturizing cream for a natural Inner Glow! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 16, 2017
I bought this out of curiosity, not thinking it would be the be-all and end-all of sun protection. In hindsight, I probably didn't need to buy it. I was skeptical about how an oil could provide UV protection... I thought it might feel like a sunscreen with a separated oil layer, but it actually feels like a proper oil when applied. It's an oil you can only use for daytime care. While it's not sticky, to get meaningful sun protection, you'd need to apply a certain amount... which is practically impossible. Personally, I think the 'multi-use' claim is accurate. It's definitely not a main product, but more of a 'supplementary product' for various uses. For example, you could mix it with body lotion to create a body sunscreen. Double cleansing is a must. It's absolutely impossible to apply the recommended amount of this. Personally, I think it's better to use a separate main sunscreen. For those with very dry skin who struggle with mineral sunscreens making their skin feel tight and cracked, you could apply a mineral sunscreen first, then layer a small amount of this on top, or mix it with foundation. Alternatively, if you've found a sunscreen that works well for your skin but has a strong white cast, you could apply a small amount of that and then use this for an extra layer of protection... Needless to say, those with oily skin don't need to buy this. A mineral sunscreen should suffice. It's not that oils are inherently bad for oily skin. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 23, 2017
It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry, and I've been using it consistently. I was intrigued by the unique concept of a sun oil and decided to buy it. This is my first time purchasing an oil product other than for cleansing. It seems to work best when applied after proper exfoliation. The real magic happens when you mix a couple of drops with your BB cream or cushion foundation - the glow is absolutely stunning! The oily feeling doesn't last long as it absorbs quickly into the skin. I suppose that could be a good thing too! Two drops mixed with your cushion foundation gives you honey-like skin! Every morning, I skip my usual skincare routine and just apply this. It's a lifesaver for those of us battling laziness... Definitely going to repurchase! - hi*******Combination SkinAcne SkinFeb 20, 2017
Even when facing chilly winds, my makeup doesn't flake and the dryness is noticeably reduced! I'm satisfied with its performance as an oil, and its lightweight feel doesn't weigh me down. It's great for mixing with various products. I wonder how much I need to apply for it to function effectively as a sunscreen... When going bare-faced, I mix it with my moisturizer. When wearing makeup, I blend it with my base. Either way, it definitely prolongs the hydration and Inner Glow!
