As it is part of the Apieu Madecassoside line, it has a high content of centella leaf water, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
ConsThe quantity of 40 grams is a bit small, which is disappointing. While the sunscreen is suitable for daily use, it may not provide enough protection with an SPF of 39 in areas with strong UV radiation.

It applies well and doesn't cause dryness! I bought it based on a random recommendation during a 1+1 promotion, and it's become my holy grail sunscreen! I've used up 2 bottles and need to buy more, I wonder when the next 1+1 sale will be... Wearing this and then a semi-matte foundation is perfect in the winter! In the summer, a light layer of this is also great!!!
ConsThey don't do 1+1 promotions often enough... Please do them more often...
TipAs I mentioned above, for dry skin types, wearing this sunscreen and then a semi-matte foundation is a perfect combination!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

It's not too dry or too oily, just right. I bought it on a 1+1 deal, so it was really cheap and I'm very satisfied.
ConsThe scent is a bit unpleasant. It's only noticeable when applying, but then it goes away, so it's okay.
TipI have a 100% intention to repurchase~

The ingredients themselves are also gentle, and with the inclusion of madecassoside, even those with trouble or sensitive skin can use it well.
ConsThe SPF seems a bit low, so I think the lasting power might be a bit weak.
TipSince it is a mineral sunscreen, it provides sun protection right away after application, so it was good to use in a hurry in the morning. If you want stronger protection, it would also be good to apply a higher SPF sunscreen first and then use this. As I have dry skin, I apply an organic sunscreen essence first and then use this mineral sunscreen together.

ConsSince I have oily skin, I can't really use it in the summer, and the formula is not suitable for dry skin in the summer either. The smell is a bit stronger than other sunscreens, so it's not great.
TipIf you're looking for a tone-up sunscreen that's not too much for the winter, I'd recommend this for dry skin.

Moisturizing💦 The moisture level is just right, not too oily or dry - it feels great to use! 2. No White Cast🌼 I personally like using it as a makeup base because it has a slight tint, but even as a mineral sunscreen, the lack of white cast is a plus! 3. Packaging Design💐 It's a tube, and the cream comes out through a thin, smooth opening, making it easy to control the amount.
Cons1. Fragrance🐽 Honestly, I had to stop using this because the smell was just too unpleasant for me... When it's something you put on your face, the fragrance really bothers me. I came to try it again just to smell it, but I just can't stand it... Make sure to test the fragrance at the store before buying! ((It has madecassoside, so it's supposed to be gentle, but other madecassoside products don't have this level of fragrance.)) 2. Oiliness Over Time🐳 In the morning when I apply it, by around 3pm (about 7 hours later), my T-zone and surrounding areas start getting really oily and shiny, and it's not a natural glow - it's because of the product. The excess oil just looks unpleasant, and when I try to blot or retouch my makeup, the texture feels different... I think they focused too much on making it moisturizing and didn't address the oiliness enough.
TipMake sure to test the fragrance at the store before buying! And if your face is already on the oily side, you might want to keep some oil blotting papers handy on the days you use this product - the powder can get a bit cakey.

It's been so hard to find a good mineral sunscreen that's non-toxic, doesn't cause breakouts, and is affordable. I've been using Innisfree's Oat Mild sunscreen for a while, but it was too drying and made my makeup look cakey. This product is moisturizing first of all. You know how sunscreens can feel greasy? This one doesn't have that heavy, oily feeling. It applies matte and fresh, but still feels like a nourishing cream on the skin. Being a dry-skinned person, I find that it gives a nice glow without looking shiny. The scent is a bit herbal, but not overpowering at all. There's hardly any white cast either. My skin doesn't feel suffocated or overly oily, just comfortably hydrated and not floating on a layer of white. I usually break out whenever I switch sunscreens, but this one hasn't caused any trouble at all. The tube is long and slim, so it's easy to squeeze out and control the amount. For my dry skin, layering this sunscreen with a good primer and long-lasting foundation has kept my skin moisturized and makeup intact all day. If you're also looking for an affordable, non-irritating mineral sunscreen, I really recommend giving this one a try!
ConsThere's nothing really bad about this product. Oily skin types might find it a bit too dewy, though.
TipYou can get a great deal when Apieu has their 1+1 sunscreen sale!

As I'm pregnant, I had to be mindful of the ingredients as well. It seems to be the perfect sunscreen for my dry skin^^It also provides a slight tone-up effect.
ConsSometimes, I go out without applying BB cream and just use sunscreen, and I tend to apply it a bit generously. But it feels like there's too much oil and it doesn't absorb well? I don't think it would suit oily skin.
TipI think this sunscreen could also be used as a base. I always use sunscreen as a base, and it seems to have a good whitening effect as well!

I prefer mineral sunscreens because I have sensitive skin and am allergic to UV rays. I like the white cast of mineral sunscreens as it helps even out my skin tone, so I often don't need to apply a separate base makeup. However, this year I've been feeling an unusual dryness when using mineral sunscreens, so I've been on the hunt for a more moisturizing one. I've tried so many new sunscreens that have launched this year, from the non-irritating hybrid sunscreens to the rich, oily mineral stick sunscreens. After reading reviews, I ended up purchasing the Apieu Madeca Sunscreen during a buy-one-get-one-free event. Even though it's a mineral sunscreen, people said it was quite moisturizing. And it's true - it doesn't leave a white cast at all. There's a slight dewy finish when first applied, but it disappears quickly. Even after reapplying a few times, the white cast doesn't build up. The formula isn't my favorite, but the moisturizing properties are impressive for a mineral sunscreen. In the past, my eyes would get irritated and feel dry by the afternoon, but since using the Apieu Madeca Sunscreen, the dryness and eye irritation have significantly improved. Some have mentioned it feels a bit oily, but the moisture it provides is far more important for my dry, sensitive skin than any slight oiliness. The Apieu Mild Sun Cream, also a mineral sunscreen, was just too drying for me. I'm amazed that a mineral sunscreen can be this moisturizing. And since it's Madeca-based, it's also quite gentle. The only downside is the relatively low SPF, but for my skin type, the hydration is the priority. If you have dry skin and struggle to find a mineral sunscreen that doesn't leave you feeling parched, I'd highly recommend giving the Apieu Madeca Sunscreen a try.
ConsI see, the formula does contain dimethicone and PEG, which are concerning ingredients for you. The dimethicone in particular seems to be problematic, as you feel it makes cleansing difficult even with double cleansing. That's definitely a drawback. And the fragrance issue is a major concern as well. Even though the product is marketed as fragrance-free, you're finding it has an unpleasant, pungent odor that bothers you greatly during application. It's puzzling why this specific sunscreen would have such a strong scent when others claim to be truly fragrance-free. The fragrance and the problematic silicone are significant downsides that outweigh the positive moisturizing properties for your needs. If the scent is that off-putting and the dimethicone is hindering cleansing, this sunscreen may not be the best fit despite its hydrating benefits. It sounds like you're still on the hunt for a truly gentle, fragrance-free mineral sunscreen that won't cause issues with your sensitive skin and cleansing routine. The search continues, but I hope you're able to find a sunscreen that checks all your boxes soon.
TipThat's a great tip! Based on your experience, it seems like using a lighter moisturizing base under the sunscreen could be helpful for those who find the sunscreen a bit too oily or rich. And you make an excellent point about being mindful of applying the sunscreen around the eye area. Since that's a more sensitive zone, it's wise to try to avoid direct application there as much as possible to minimize any irritation or stinging. Adjusting your skincare routine to pair a lighter moisturizer with this sunscreen, while being cautious about the eye area application, could help optimize the performance and comfort of this product for your specific needs. Experimenting with different base products and application techniques is a great way to find the right balance and make the most of a sunscreen that has some promising moisturizing benefits, despite the less-than-ideal ingredients. Kudos for being so thoughtful about finding solutions that work for your skin!
