My nails tend to be soft and weak, so I tried this product. It seems to have helped prevent my nails from breaking. I bought a lot when it was on sale, which was a great deal. When I first applied it, my nails had a nice shine and felt stronger! The staying power is really poor... If you keep reapplying, it peels off quickly. But if you don't reapply, your nails become brittle again. Removing it with nail polish remover and reapplying damages your nails. First off, I love that it can be used like a clear nail polish while also protecting my nails. Recently, I've been worried about my nail tips splitting and peeling in layers. But when I apply this, the strengthener chips and peels instead of my actual nails. It's great that it faithfully performs its nail protection function. Also, it dries quickly, so it's easy to apply without any fuss. While it does protect, it tends to chip and crack, which can look messy. When applied, it gives an incredible shine. It's like the glossy finish on freshly glazed porcelain, creating an exceptionally luminous effect. Plus, it absorbs well into the skin. It feels a bit constricting on the nails. While other strengtheners can feel similar, this one feels even more restrictive. For a thin application, apply every 2-3 days and remove and reapply once a week. If you prefer a thicker layer, you can wait a bit longer than 3 days between applications. It has a lovely sparkle. The nail polish scent isn't as strong as others. My sister says it smells like soap, but I can't really tell. It's not completely transparent, so the more you apply, the less the pink tint shows through on your nails. I'm not sure if that's a pro or a con, but I'm mentioning it here anyway. The main drawback is that it doesn't seem very effective. I bought this to help grow my nails after I'd been biting them, but the strengthening effect isn't significant. I wouldn't recommend it as a strengthener for growing out your nails after they've been completely bitten off. The nail hardener from Daiso actually works better.
