Why on earth did they discontinue this? It's insanely good... The new eyebrow mascara from MAC clumps terribly and doesn't apply well. This one was truly amazing back then. Why did they discontinue it? Ugh, so frustrating. Seriously, bring it back to life! - ma*********Combination SkinRecommendedDec 3, 2021
The color is so natural, it enhances my eyebrows without making them stand out too much. As you use it, the product tends to clump, so you need to clean the brush thoroughly. - go*******Normal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 31, 2021
The color is very intense, resulting in excellent pigmentation. However, the brush is a bit thick, which can lead to clumping when applied. It's not a messy application though, so it might be great for those who are skilled at applying. When the store staff applied it for me, it looked amazing! But when I tried it myself, my eyebrows turned red... I'm struggling to use it properly. If it makes your skin really red when it touches it, and you can't apply it without touching your skin, I wouldn't recommend it. I use an eyebrow brush to apply it, which works much better than applying it directly! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedNov 17, 2020
Despite the name 'Red Chestnut', it's not as reddish as you might expect. It's a perfect match for dyed hair colors. Why did they discontinue this? I went to buy my third tube after finishing two, but they told me it was discontinued and offered alternatives. Right after opening, it applies beautifully without clumping. However, after about a month, it starts to clump. Well, I guess that's typical for brow mascaras... - lh****Combination SkinRecommendedOct 5, 2020
The short, fine bristles apply the product more evenly than other brands, reducing clumping. I bought the Red Chestnut shade, and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't have any reddish tones at all, which I really liked. Being waterproof, it was perfect for my water activities last summer. It's usually challenging to keep eyebrows intact, but thanks to this product, I could enjoy myself without worrying. While there weren't any major drawbacks, the product does come out quite heavily on the brush. To avoid clumping, it's better to transfer some product to a different brush before applying. Also, it tends to dry out if left open for too long. - ay********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 22, 2020
The lightweight formula is great for color-treated hair! The thin consistency often led to it getting on my skin, which was frustrating. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2020
This product was incredibly useful when I had bleached hair. Its slightly runny texture allows for a natural-looking color application. The brush is on the larger side, which makes it challenging to apply precisely as it tends to smudge on the skin. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 7, 2020
First off, the color payoff is good! It's great for those with brown hair. The short brush allows for precise application and detailed expression! It tends to clump easily! Also, the color can become quite intense, making it easy to end up with overly thick eyebrows. I wouldn't recommend this for beginners! I think it would work well if you use it to outline your brows with the eyebrow pencil and then fill in the inside for a natural look! - st*********Normal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 10, 2020
It was great to use because there was hardly any pilling. As I continued using it, I noticed a bit of pilling... Still, it lives up to the MAC name. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 29, 2019
This shade complements those with dark brown dyed hair beautifully, and its color payoff and staying power are truly exceptional. As someone who's had eyebrow microblading done, I can attest that this product applies so naturally, it's virtually undetectable. I've gone through more than five tubes already. It's perfect for those who love a lifted brow look - I'm absolutely in love with it! I wouldn't recommend layering this product. It sets firmly after one application, and when I tried to apply a second coat, it started to clump. In my opinion, one layer is more than sufficient. When applying, imagine you're lifting your eyebrows upwards. Use upward strokes to create that lifted, defined brow look.
