For a mineral sunscreen, it absorbs well, has minimal white cast, and leaves my skin feeling soft and matte.
ConsWhile it's true that the white cast is less noticeable compared to other mineral sunscreens, it's definitely not non-existent. I'm puzzled why the marketing claims there's no white cast at all.

It blends well.
ConsI used this and ended up with folliculitis, so I had to take a 5-day course of medication. The Avene product was recommended by the Olive Young staff member, but I'm disappointed.

It's gentle and has good spreadability. I purchased it because I'm planning to travel to a country with strong sunlight. I think I made a good choice.
ConsThe price is high and the scent is a bit unpleasant. The high price point is also a downside.

The application was smooth, and since it's a mineral sunscreen, there was no eye irritation or breakouts, which I really appreciated. I can see how some people might not like how white it makes you, and I was surprised at first too, but I ended up liking it later on. Since I don't wear much makeup and have a naturally flushed complexion, anything I apply tends to darken quickly and make me look dull. But this sunscreen maintained a natural, glowing tone as it absorbed, and the effect lasted until I washed it off.
ConsIf you just slather it on, it can really emphasize any dry patches or flakiness... it can even peel off in chunks sometimes. You can't just glob it on, you have to pat it on gently. It's a bit of a hassle. And why do they advertise it as a non-whitening sunscreen when it's clearly a very white, mineral-based formula? Haha. And the price is just too steep for me!

Unlike typical mineral sunscreens, it glided on smoothly and finished with a matte look. There was no eye irritation, and it's recommended to apply 30 minutes before going out, which can be difficult, but I liked that the mineral ingredients get activated right away.
ConsAs I have dry skin, I wished it was a bit less matte. The areas that tend to clump up a bit due to the mineral ingredients required a little more application.
TipWhen applied directly on bare skin, it provides a slightly luminous tone-up effect, so you can just fill in your eyebrows without needing a BB cream.

Among the sunscreens, the high SPF was good (so I could be at ease even under the scorching sun). The ingredients are not bad at this level, and the application is about 3.5 out of 5 points - I thought it would be thick, but it applies smoothly.
ConsAs expected, there was a white cast issue... Even though I applied it considering the high SPF, the white cast was still unavoidable... I think you need to apply a very solid base and then apply it, otherwise it will feel dry. And I think it would be too much to apply this and then do your makeup on top of it... It might apply too thickly.
TipSince you've been so careful with the base products, if you apply it little by little instead of a thick layer, the white cast might be a bit better. I found that applying it with an air puff or sponge was somewhat better. If you want to apply makeup on top, just go for a light cushion foundation, not a heavy liquid foundation!

(My skin tends to break out when I use organic sunscreens!) The application is not too bad either.
ConsThis product had many shortcomings compared to its benefits, so although I usually like Avène, this product made me rethink a lot. First, the white cast is extremely severe. It's not really a tone-up product, as my face looks very pale when I apply it. I applied just a little, but the impact was so strong that on some mornings I would just apply the sunscreen, wash my face, and then reapply my usual product before going out. Second, as an oily-skinned person, I prefer products with minimal greasiness, but this one is quite oily. When I used the organic sunscreen, it felt greasy. I would usually apply the sunscreen before makeup, and at first it was fine, but later the oiliness would start to come through. (There wasn't a major issue with pilling or anything when applying makeup over the sunscreen.) Third, the scent is not great. This is not as big of an issue compared to the other drawbacks, in my opinion. Lastly, the packaging is a problem! I think this is the biggest issue. The points above may vary depending on the individual, but the packaging flaw is a significant problem that can't be overlooked. The dispenser cap is difficult to open, and the cap itself is completely broken, so it doesn't close properly. You can see in the photo that the cap doesn't close.

The slight white cast makes it good to use as a base instead of makeup. It has good SPF protection, smooth application, and a mild fragrance.
ConsThe white cast is way too strong. It also emphasizes pores and flaky skin. While it's not oily, the shine is quite intense, so using it alone can be burdensome. The price is also quite high considering the amount.
TipIn the summer, it can be used as a body highlighter when applied to the legs and collarbones!

Ingredients As a mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as the main ingredients, it is gentler than organic sunscreens. While it has 2 PEG ingredients which is a bit disappointing, overall the ingredients are quite good and gentle. I usually get breakouts right away when using harsh sunscreen products, but I experienced no breakouts at all while using this. There was also no stinging sensation in the eyes, which was great. 2. Application With a lotion-like texture, it applies smoothly and comfortably for a mineral sunscreen. The finish is moisturizing without being sticky. I was worried it might leave a greasy look initially, but even with my extremely oily T-zone, it did not end up overly shiny or greasy over time. In fact, the oil control was better than my previous Cellusion sunscreen, where the oil secretion was much less throughout the day. Basing it on when I applied my makeup around 2-3 PM, it did not break down into a greasy mess even by late evening. The moisturizing yet non-greasy finish should work well for those with oily skin like myself. 3. This is a double-edged sword, but you can use it in place of Mebeblue. If you pat it in after application, the white cast will subside and it will provide a tone-up effect.
Cons1. White Cast When applying makeup, I can use this instead of Mebeblue without any issues. However, when going out bare-faced, the white cast leaves my face looking a bit puffy. The white cast also leads to some pore clogging... Even though I have a small face, for sunscreens without white cast, I can generously apply about two finger-lengths worth. (Generally, the recommended amount for one application of sunscreen is about two finger-lengths squeezed out.) But for this product, even when using it in place of Mebeblue, the maximum I could apply was about one and a half finger-lengths. 2. Price These days, there are many affordable yet high-quality sunscreen options available, so the relatively high price of around 26,000 won for this product when purchased online feels a bit steep.
TipEven though this product has a high SPF, if the white cast prevents you from applying a generous amount, don't force yourself to use too much. Apply the appropriate amount to get the tone-up effect, and then finish off with a powder sunscreen or other sun protection products. When applying sunscreen and then primer, the products can sometimes interfere with each other. In that case, simply change the order - apply the primer first, patting it in well, and then apply the sunscreen. This will prevent the sunscreen from settling into pores and also stop the primer from pilling under the sunscreen.

The UV protection factor is high, and the ingredients seem quite good. The application is also smooth.
ConsI usually apply makeup over sunscreen, so I don't like heavy white casts. The white cast is quite strong, so it felt a bit stuffy when applying makeup, and the makeup felt a bit lifted.
TipIf you pat it on and have a solid base, it should be fine. And the slightly stuffy feeling when first applying goes away after a little while!! The white cast is most visible right next to my eyes, and the surrounding area is where the sunscreen was applied!!
