> My honest review after purchasing with my own money! << - Skin type: Oily with dehydration / Milia acne / Sensitive Pros 1. "Price" It's very affordable! This is probably why people buy this product, haha. 2. "Surprisingly non-irritating" On Hwahae, the ingredients are listed as not very good (I was surprised too!), but when I actually used it, even with my sensitive skin, it was less irritating than I expected! I also had fewer blemishes compared to other products! Amazingly, it feels quite gentle!! 3. "Fades beautifully" Considering the price, it fades quite nicely on the skin. Cons 1. "Not a must-have" Somehow... it doesn't feel like a product you absolutely need! These days, with so many good options available at reasonable prices, the fact that there's no compelling reason to choose this specific product might be a drawback? I'd recommend it for students like me who are on a budget! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 21, 2020
I'm not a fan of dewy makeup, so I really liked the semi-matte finish! While I know the scent might be divisive, I decided to buy it anyway, thinking it's better than an artificial fragrance. The puff seems to attract dust quite easily. Also, the middle cover has a slightly textured surface, so those who use it to control the amount of foundation and wipe it off should be careful. The foundation that gets into the indented parts doesn't clean off easily. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2020
This cushion foundation provides amazing coverage and is truly a holy grail product. It's a shame it's not more well-known! I'm on my fifth one and have never experienced any blemishes. There's nothing to complain about. Make sure to use this for touch-ups throughout the day! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 21, 2020
The coverage is decent and it didn't irritate my skin much. Unfortunately, I made a mistake in choosing the shade, and it didn't match my complexion... I'd recommend shade 21 for those with a lighter skin tone. It does slightly emphasize dead skin cells, but you can cover that up with some touch-up makeup. - yo**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 25, 2020
I usually use shade 21, but this is my first time trying shade 23, and I'm pleasantly surprised it's not as dark as I expected! True to its name as a cover cushion, it does a great job concealing blemishes and scars, though it does feel a bit thick when applied. However, that thickness translates to excellent coverage! I think it's better than other cover cushions I've tried. The matte case looks sleek and sophisticated, not childish at all. Cushions often have poor staying power, but this one lasted well even on my oily skin. I only needed to touch up slightly on my forehead, nose, and chin due to oil, but otherwise, my skin looked great without much maintenance - no breakdown or caking! Even though I have blemish-prone skin, this didn't make it worse, which is great! However, the cica scent might be a matter of personal preference. For areas with scars or blemishes, apply a thin layer all over, then add an extra dab just on those spots. This will boost the coverage even more! - ki************Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessRecommendedMar 19, 2020
Holy grail cushion foundation! The case is sturdy and well-made. It gives the world's best Inner Glow and smooth complexion. My skin feels incredibly hydrated. It doesn't skimp on coverage either - I'd say it's medium to high. I've tried many cushions, but nothing compares to this one. No need for extensive skincare prep - just do your basic routine and lightly pat on this cushion for an instant Inner Glow. It truly shows you what Inner Glow means. No pilling, and it absorbs beautifully in a thin layer. It's seriously ultra-adherent to the skin. While the puff isn't great, it works amazingly well with the cushion, boosting its adherence by 200%. Shade 23 is perfect for me, with a lovely pink undertone that's great for my sallow skin. Plus, the case is gorgeous - light pink with a tiger design. There's not really anything to complain about. The only minor issue is that it's hard to clean if something gets on the case. With a normal skincare routine, you'll get that Inner Glow. If you use less skincare, you can even achieve a semi-matte look. This is truly revolutionary in the world of cushion foundations. - 12*********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 13, 2019
This is my holy grail cushion foundation! It creates such a beautiful skin finish! The staying power seems pretty good, and even when it does start to fade, it fades gracefully. When I received it, I noticed that both the cushion and the refill had expiration dates coming up soon. Are they not producing these recently? So disappointing... It works even better if you apply it over a brightening moisturizer - they're a match made in heaven! I use the S2ND one before applying this cushion. - de******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 7, 2019
The coverage is great when you first apply it, and it gives a cool, refreshing feeling. The absorption is not bad either. You can apply it freely. I have combination dehydrated skin with a lot of whiteheads, especially in the T-zone where it's quite oily. When you first apply it, you'll feel like it adheres well and provides good coverage. As time passes, you can see it getting darker. The oil makes it break down strangely... If you don't exfoliate, the whiteheads become very visible. Make sure to exfoliate before applying. The cushion seems oilier than expected, so I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types. Keep your cushion puff clean and wash it frequently. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 19, 2019
The skin finish is absolutely gorgeous, and the coverage and staying power are out of this world! There aren't any real downsides. Well, it does come out a bit light, so it's best to choose a shade that matches your complexion. That way, you'll avoid darkening and messy breakdown. There's this odd trend in Korea where everyone wants to use shade 21 because of the preference for fair skin. Some even go as far as using shade 17. Cosmetic companies have followed suit, making their base makeup shades unnecessarily light. In reality, most people's skin tone is closer to shade 23, with many even going above 25. Apply it lightly with gentle tapping motions to ensure it blends seamlessly with your neck - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedMar 26, 2019
The way it settles on the skin is truly beautiful. It offers high coverage and is an incredibly useful cushion foundation for summer. There were no downsides for me. Everything about it was great. I wish everyone in the world could try this cushion foundation.
