The lingering scent is even more pleasing to me. It's sweet yet substantial.
ConsI wanted to buy the body lotion in this scent too, but it's a pity that the fragrance is different.

The difference between the initial scent and the dry down is significant. The top notes disappear quite quickly, and the dry down lasts longer. Dry down: 30% powdery + 10% slightly woody + 50% vanilla ice cream + 10% faint smoky incense scent (which makes it a great fall/winter fragrance) >>> All the elements come together beautifully.
ConsIt's an eau de parfum, but the longevity is pathetic and weak, and yet the scent style is a bit too much for daily wear.
TipThis fragrance would likely suit most women in their 10s to 30s (with a mature, independent image rather than a childlike one). For men, it would suit those with a softer (not traditionally 'masculine') image, and those with a body fat percentage under 20%, regardless of age.

It starts with a refreshing feel and becomes sweeter over time.
ConsThe sillage is too weak, so it's good for self-satisfaction but lacks feedback as a perfume.

At the top, there's a lemon-like scent, but it's not entirely citrusy - it has a more spicy lemon aroma. In the middle, you can detect a cool pine note. Then, it finishes with a vanilla and sandalwood blend. Unlike Tamdao, the dry down is quite sweet, so I don't think it will be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of fragrance.
ConsThe longevity and projection of Gypsy Water are often criticized. To be honest, the only way to really address the longevity and projection issues is to decant it into a spray bottle and apply it more frequently.

When I first sprayed it, there was a subtle woody scent and a somewhat ambiguous aroma, which was a bit puzzling. But the lingering fragrance is fantastic! They say the lingering note is vanilla, but it's definitely not that cloying sweetness. It's sweet and warm, and you'll want to bury your nose in the spot where you sprayed it. I haven't tried a lot of perfumes, but this is the best one I've come across so far.
ConsI wish I could wear it all year round, but since it's a warm fragrance, it's a shame I can't use it in the summer.

The Gypsy Water has a gentle vanilla aroma that I really enjoy. It's perfect for wearing in the fall - the vanilla scent is not overly sweet, but has a complex profile. Initially, there are fresh notes of bergamot and lemon, followed by a cool, clean middle note of incense and pine. The dry down has a slightly spicy and subtly sweet quality, reminiscent of vanilla bean rather than vanilla ice cream. It's an ideal daily fragrance.
ConsThe fragrance doesn't last very long after initial application, so I carry a rollerball version with me when I'm out for an extended period. The longevity is still better than Jo Malone, so I've been using it as my everyday perfume lately.
TipSpraying it before leaving and using the rollerball around lunchtime seems to help it last longer. Since it's quite expensive in Korea, it's a good idea to purchase it during a trip to Europe or at duty-free shops.

To directly quote the detailed description: A smoky and playful scent Top notes of bergamot, lemon, and pepper Middle notes of incense, pine, and orris Base notes of amber, vanilla, and sandalwood It has a neutral feel and seems to pair well with knitwear!! The price is a bit steep though ใ ใ Buying it at the regular price is hmm... ใ I'd recommend getting it at the duty-free shop.
ConsEven though it's an eau de parfum, the scent isn't as strong or long-lasting as I expected. The longevity isn't bad, but the scent itself is quite light. It doesn't project strongly into the air, so it's not a 'sillage bomb' kind of fragrance. However, it clings nicely to the skin, and the natural body scent comes through when you get a whiff up close, which I really enjoyed!!! I wouldn't recommend this to someone who wants a fragrance with a very strong, pervasive scent.

I feel that the overall balance from the top notes to the base notes is very good. When I first sprayed it, there was a subtle scent of pine and a hint of citrus, but they disappeared as time passed, and a very cozy and warm woody and vanilla scent gradually emerged. The slightly restrained woody note blends with the sweet vanilla note to create a lovely lingering aroma. I loved the lingering scent so much that I would bury my nose in my wrist and sniff it all day long.
ConsSince this is my favorite perfume, there isn't really anything I dislike about it. But if I had to nitpick, the scent is quite warm, so it might not be the best choice for the late spring to summer months.
TipThe perfume is not short-lasting, but the perception of longevity can vary from person to person. If you feel the scent doesn't last long enough, you can try applying an unscented body lotion or petroleum jelly before using the perfume to help extend its longevity.

The fragrance has a toned-down lemon and vanilla scent. More emphasis is placed on the vanilla, so it has a sweet fragrance. The lingering vanilla scent is really nice.
ConsSince it's a perfume, the initial alcohol scent is strong and irritates the nose, causing sneezing. This was also the case with Blanche... And one more thing, both Blanche and Gypsy Water have an artificial scent, which seems to irritate the nose. For reference, Black Safran didn't have the nose-irritating effect (so when buying Gypsy Water, I deliberated between Black Safran and Gypsy Water, and ended up buying Gypsy Water since it's one of the best-selling fragrances). Next time, I'll definitely buy Black Safran.
TipThe eau de toilette, which has a mild scent from the beginning, seems to have a gentle lingering scent that comes up early, but the longevity and diffusion power are too poor. The eau de parfum has a strong scent in the beginning, so I'm a little hesitant to use it daily... But Byredo seems to have well resolved the major concerns about fragrances. Overall, the fragrances feel light, so it's good to use daily. Although I was initially disappointed, after using it for a month, I find myself spraying Byredo more often than other fragrances. The best part is that it's comfortable and works well as a light daily fragrance! This is the characteristic of Byredo fragrances.
