- As a cushion, it's great for quick touch-ups. The best part is that it sits beautifully on the skin without needing to do anything extra when reapplying. - The coverage is pretty decent. - Although it's supposed to be a glow cushion, it doesn't give a pretty glow. Instead, it just makes you look like you're covered in grease. - For me, it seemed to cause significant darkening. It's probably more due to oil coming to the surface rather than actual darkening, but as time passed, it made me look increasingly pale. This might work well for those with dry skin, but I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types, especially those with combination dehydrated skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 7, 2019
I use shade 21-22 with a yellow base, and I heard this product tends to be on the brighter side. While it is indeed bright, it doesn't create a stark line between my neck and face. Instead, it evens out my complexion naturally. It covers redness well and even conceals most of my acne scars. The adherence and longevity are excellent! I have combination skin that's almost dry, with only a bit of oil on my nose and drought-like dryness elsewhere. When I use this cushion with just skin emulsion underneath, it feels incredibly hydrating without being sticky. I think it'll work well even in summer if I keep my skincare routine light. I wish there were more shade options available... After using it for 7 more months, including summer, I have to say it's not ideal for hot weather. Aside from the sweat issue, the oil production is out of control. My makeup separates and it's a mess. Blotting with tissues and reapplying helps, but let's use something else for summer... This cushion looks beautiful when applied in thin layers! Don't use all the product from one tap for your whole face. Instead, divide it and apply gradually. The puff actually holds quite a bit of product, so you can use the residual amount for your nose and chin. If you find it too light, try mixing it with a darker concealer or foundation by placing some under the cushion sponge. Just make sure not to overfill it - add a bit after you've used the product for a while. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinOct 14, 2018
First off, this product nails both coverage and complexion in one go. Plus, the price is wallet-friendly! I've been using it for two years now. In summer, I switch to the Perfect Cushion from the same line, as I have dry skin and prefer the Glow version for other seasons. However, I'm a bit concerned about the number of potentially harmful ingredients. While most cushions on the market seem to have at least four such ingredients as standard, I'm still torn. The coverage, tone, and price are so good that I'm debating whether to keep using it despite knowing about the ingredients. It's quite a dilemma! There are five potentially harmful ingredients in this product. Apart from that, I can't find any other downsides. It's truly great value for money. Even though I have dry skin, I use the Perfect Cushion from the same line in summer instead of the Glow version. It keeps my skin feeling fresh and matte. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 8, 2018
1. Coverage: True to its 'Hard Cover' name, this moisturizing cushion provides excellent coverage despite its dewy finish. It even conceals those pesky period pimples that pop up on my nose without a trace! 2. Longevity: As someone who absolutely dreads touch-ups, longevity is my top priority. Usually, dewy cushions don't last long, but this one surprised me! Applied in the morning, it's still going strong at 10 PM. I was genuinely shocked by how well it works hard throughout the day! 3. Shade: I was worried the Warm Ivory might be too dark, but it's actually a beautifully clear ivory tone. It gives a bright, complexion-evening effect when applied. Highly recommended for those who use shade 13 or fair 21! 1. Quantity: Even though I'm not big on base makeup and rarely do touch-ups, I'm almost out after just a month and a half! I knew from reviews it wasn't generous, but this is beyond expectations. 2. No refills: Literally, when I went to Holika Holika to repurchase after using it up, they said there are no refills available. Having to buy a whole new case every time is definitely a downside. 3. Oiliness and pilling: When you think of a moisturizing cushion, you'd expect it to be hydrating without hair sticking to it. But this one feels greasy from start to finish. What looks like a glow is actually just shine. It pills when you touch your face or if hair brushes against it. Be cautious about this aspect. You know how we usually apply sunscreen before base makeup? I recommend using a matte sunscreen with this. It balances things out nicely, turning that excess oil into a subtle, inner glow! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 6, 2018
I was looking for something with moderate coverage and hydration, and this fit the bill nicely. As someone with oily but dehydrated skin, I found it moisturizing without being overly greasy. While I wish it had a bit more coverage, it's still pretty decent overall. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinMay 26, 2018
I've had my skin react badly to the Kill Cover cushion, so I've been on the hunt for products with good coverage. I used to use Luna's Essence Water Glow in shade 21, but I wanted to try a different cushion feel, which led me to Holika Holika. The positives were its decent coverage, bright complexion, and somewhat hydrating formula. I regret buying this cushion, so I have more disappointments to share: 1. Pilling (I bought it thinking it was somewhat matte, but it's too oily... just look at the pad area in the compact): If I touch my face once while applying, it leaves marks. I need to set it with powder. 2. Caking: I'm not sure if it's my application technique, but I've never had this issue with other foundations. This one cakes up terribly. 3. Breakdown: Since it cakes from the start, it looks even worse when it breaks down. 4. As others have mentioned, the amount seems small. 5. The color isn't great either (it has a white cast). My overall impression is that it performs below its price point, unfortunately. I'm sure it works for some people, but for me... I rarely complain, but this just doesn't sit well on my skin. You definitely need powder! And I bought this hoping to avoid using powder. Maybe the matte version would be better? - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 21, 2018
I love how it gives such a bright and clear coverage! It makes you look so lively. If you use it after a solid skincare routine, it's really amazing! I like it so much that I almost exclusively use this product now. Well... the quantity is quite small. It feels like there's too little product. Honestly, I don't know how many I need to buy because of the small amount. Also, another thing - the puff string broke, which is inconvenient. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMar 14, 2018
It barely breaks down and covers pores well. Overall, it seems to be a decent, reliable product. I bought it to cover redness, but it doesn't seem to cover that well. It also settles into smile lines quite noticeably. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 9, 2018
It covers pores and blackheads really well. I didn't experience any darkening either. I applied this at 8 AM and didn't touch up my makeup until 7 PM, and there was no darkening at all. Only the nose area showed some wear, but it wasn't noticeable. The scent is a sweet peanut smell, not too strong. For a 'Hard Cover Glow' cushion, it's quite matte. Not extremely matte, but more so than you'd expect from the name. If you don't have extremely oily or extremely dry skin, this should work well for you! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 28, 2018
1. Coverage: I bought this because it was recommended for covering redness, similar to 02 Petal. It definitely has good coverage. You can see it nicely conceals moderate redness... 2. Adherence: It adheres quickly to the skin. 3. Longevity: Not bad at all. 4. Application: Being a cushion, the application is quite nice. I prefer to use a pressing motion rather than patting it on, which works much better. Patting can cause it to move around when your hand touches it, but pressing helps it adhere well and gives a great finish. The red case is because I bought the winter limited edition version! 1. Oiliness: Oil comes through pretty quickly. This might be because I have combination dehydrated skin... 2. T-zone: While it's fine elsewhere, it tends to separate on the T-zone, especially around the sides of the nose. I'm not sure why it only lifts in this area while staying put everywhere else... Try using it with A'pieu Color Corrector in Mint for super effective redness coverage.
