Compared to wash-off masks from other brands, this one has a superior texture that makes it so easy to apply evenly on the skin. It contains gentle exfoliating particles that aren't too harsh, and after rinsing, I noticed a temporary but noticeable brightening effect on my complexion. The tingling sensation was unbearable... As soon as I applied it, the burning was so intense I thought I might die. Even with lukewarm water, it stung, so I had to rinse with cold water to soothe my skin, which helped a bit. After cleansing, the washcloth is full of green residue and particles, which is quite inconvenient. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 17, 2018
I've used it about three times so far. I decided to try it because of the good reviews on Coupang and my fondness for the Hanyul Mugwort line. According to Coupang reviews, people mentioned using it daily without much concern due to its good ingredients, and they noticed their skin becoming brighter. To focus on the positives, after use, my skin feels soothed, and once I rinse it off, my skin becomes incredibly soft, allowing subsequent skincare products to absorb well. And truly, my complexion does appear a bit brighter. I'm not sure if it's just because I want to believe in its brightening effects, but... Using it daily is definitely not recommended. Perhaps due to its pore pack-like ingredients, after using it for three consecutive days, my skin became extremely sensitive and slightly tingly. The first use was amazing and felt like a revelation, but from the second day, I started feeling a slight stinging sensation, and I could sense my skin becoming more sensitive in real-time. While it might not be entirely due to this product, I noticed one or two red, hive-like bumps appearing - not quite blemishes, but something similar. It's probably because my skin became more sensitive. Rather than breakouts appearing right after using the mask, I noticed that when I scratched an itchy spot, something would pop up there. While the ingredients aren't bad and the application feels nice, these types of products can still irritate the skin, so it's best to use them only once every 3-4 days. If your skin becomes too sensitive, you might develop contact dermatitis. Let's prevent that in advance. Oh, and just considering how it feels, after rinsing it off, my skin feels really soft and there's a calming effect, which makes me think it might be good for oily skin. However, I noticed there are two ingredients in the formula that can clog pores. They might not be very potent, but anyway, it's worth checking the ingredient list. If you have oily skin, keep that in mind when considering a purchase. My skin type is combination dehydrated, leaning towards combination, and slightly sensitive. Two years ago I had a major acne breakout, but now it's mostly cleared up, with just occasional pimples and small bumps. For me, the application experience was just okay. I would consider repurchasing though.
