When I applied one layer and put foundation on top, my eyes didn't sting. But when I layered it on thickly, trusting it wouldn't irritate me, my eyes did start to sting a bit. It seems you need to apply the right amount to avoid eye irritation. Still, compared to other organic sunscreens that can make it impossible to open your eyes, this one is relatively mild in terms of eye irritation.

I've become more sensitive to eye irritation since getting LASEK surgery, so people with less sensitive eyes might not notice this at all.
