Even when wearing a mask and sweating, my makeup didn't budge much.
ConsIt can sometimes leave a white cast, and it's a bit tricky to get the right amount.

This oil-absorbing powder is essential for removing excess sebum. If I were still a teenager, I would've used it on my bangs too, but I've already graduated from that stage.
ConsYou need to shake it vigorously to use. I was worried it might come out too much, but that's not an issue - it dispenses in small amounts. I tried this powder format since my usual product was discontinued, but I think compacts still work better for touch-ups, even when makeup has set. While the powder does absorb oil, it can also leave a white cast on the skin.

While this might be true for many products, this one is truly velvety smooth... To be honest, I'm struggling to find more positives. It's just an average powder, nothing extraordinary.
Cons1. First off, it doesn't last long. The staying power is inferior compared to other products. It barely lasts 3 hours at most. If you apply it to greasy hair, it'll revert back to its oily state soon. (I guess I'll just have to be more diligent about reapplying...) 2. It cakes on the skin! I don't know if it's because I have super sensitive skin and combination dehydrated skin, but it literally 'fixes' to your face, right? However, it cakes up in every area I apply it. I thought maybe I applied too much, so I tried to blend it in, but it still cakes! That's why I use a lot when doing eye makeup, but as I mentioned earlier, after some time... it's all the same!
TipWell... I think it might be better to use something else. There are plenty of other products out there!

And while it comes out of the tube in a solid form, it applies like a smooth cream that doesn't run down your face!
ConsAfter a while, the sides of my nose get oily, and no matter how much oil control powder I apply, it still gets greasy and separates. Also, it takes quite a bit of strength to squeeze the product out of the tube, which can be a bit challenging.

It's a large size and becomes very affordable when purchased during sales.
ConsWhen I use it on my skin, it seems to create a powdery effect. I use it on days when I can't wash my hair!
TipWhen using it on your hair, sprinkle some powder on your hands, rub them together, and then apply it like a hair essence. It removes excess oil very naturally.

Even during the era when dewy, honey-like, and glossy skin was trendy, I consistently used powder for a completely matte complexion. When Etude discontinued the powder I used to use, I switched to the most similar one from Skinfood. However, that one darkened quickly, became oily easily, requiring frequent touch-ups, and if not touched up, it would settle into pores. This powder doesn't have those issues. Even without touch-ups, it looks natural, as if the makeup has slightly faded. If it feels a bit oily, just lightly pressing a thin tissue on areas like the nose, forehead, or sides of the nose refreshes it like a touch-up. Even if you accidentally apply too much and it looks patchy at first, it naturally evens out after about an hour.
ConsThe key is controlling the amount. After not using it for a while, I struggled with the application for the first few days, resulting in a pale, floaty-looking face.
TipPractice controlling the amount. I'm quite skilled at it now, so I use the puff directly on the entire powder container (not using the hole in the middle to control the amount). Since Etude often discontinues good products, you might want to look for alternative options just in case.

When applied after makeup, it helps achieve a matte complexion.
ConsAs mentioned earlier, it absorbs all the oil, which causes makeup to separate and crack over time. It's particularly problematic around the nose and chin, with severe creasing in areas with wrinkles (even with a solid skincare routine and exfoliation the night before). Also, the scent is really unpleasant.
TipFor best results, evenly coat your brush, tap off the excess, then lightly touch your forehead, T-zone, and outer edges of your face. This helps minimize pilling and dead skin cells lifting. Remember, don't breathe when applying with the brush!

It also gives a beautiful blurred effect, enhancing your appearance.
ConsIf you apply too much, it can look cakey, but it's a decent product when used in moderation.

I was looking for something to address both the oily parts and the dry, tight areas. After much deliberation, I decided to try this product. Contrary to my worries, it doesn't make my skin look patchy at all. In fact, it makes my complexion look even better! What's more, it continues to look good over time without any patchiness, which I really appreciate.
ConsOne slight downside is that the white puff gets stained with foundation quickly, making it look messy. Also, if you apply too thick a layer, it can look a bit cakey!

The packaging is sleek too. I tend to get oily just on my nose, but when I lightly dust this powder on my nose and eyes with the Etude shading brush, it doesn't break down, which is great. The amount is so generous that it seems to last forever!
ConsIt gets incredibly powdery in fall or winter. The particles are so fine that just opening the lid releases a cloud of powder... Be careful not to inhale it, or you might get a sore throat. Also, if you don't exfoliate, it can actually emphasize dead skin cells, so be cautious. I have super sensitive skin, so I switched all my cosmetics by category. When I got a sudden breakout of blemishes, I tried to figure out which product caused it, and it turned out to be this one. Thanks to that, I now only use it on my eyes and rarely get breakouts, but if you have sensitive skin like me, I'd recommend avoiding it on your cheeks, forehead, and chin.
TipI tried using it with a puff, but it clumped. It seems a high-quality powder brush is needed for even application as a setting powder. For those who find it challenging, I'd recommend skipping powder altogether and trying a setting spray instead.
