As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I noticed my mesh cushions were all drying out in winter, so I decided to try a balm-type. I was skeptical after being disappointed by the WeMakeup coating balm, but this one's a perfect match. It doesn't dry out, gives a nice glow, and doesn't settle into pores or leave foundation residue. The shade is a bit dark, so it doesn't give that bright, fresh look. It's more of an earthy tone - I guess that's unavoidable with balm types. I've also tried the Missha Cho Gong Jin cushion, and they're quite similar. - hp****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 1, 2024
I bought this for those who dislike compacts with mesh or sponge applicators, preferring products like Age20's or this one that you can apply directly. Overall, it's said to be a decent compact that's not bad at all and quite usable. Apparently, the coverage is somewhat weak and the application is a bit light, so you need to apply quite a bit to get the desired effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 24, 2021
I've always struggled with cushion foundations turning ashy on my skin. I was desperately searching for one that could instantly brighten my complexion anywhere. That's when I found this product. First off, I was thrilled that it matched my skin tone perfectly. Surprisingly, it's moisturizing while providing decent coverage. Now I can confidently apply it without much fuss wherever I go. The initial application is absolutely fantastic, but as time passes, it's a major letdown. It starts to break apart and clump unattractively, especially in the T-zone where I get super oily. By lunchtime, it's a complete disaster on my face. This might work well for those with dry skin. - a0**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 1, 2021
It adheres well to the skin and provides decent coverage. I bought the refill cartridge on sale for $28.70. I purchased shade 201 to mix with my usual shade, which was too dark and made it look like I wasn't wearing any makeup. The result is a brighter complexion. There's nothing particularly bad, but the packaging color looks a bit dull for spring. For best results, pat the product onto your skin instead of rubbing it in. It absorbs well this way. - ho*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 22, 2019
I've found my holy grail base makeup... I wasn't satisfied with any cushions or BB creams, but this compact is truly amazing. It's so convenient to quickly apply on busy mornings, the skin finish is exactly what I want, and the light shade is perfect for me. Even with my blemish-prone skin, it doesn't cause any breakouts, and my skin feels so comfortable! I think I'll keep using this forever. Please don't discontinue it!!! To be honest, there's not really anything I dislike... Maybe just that it seems to run out faster than expected? It feels like I've barely used it, but it's disappearing quickly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 12, 2019
Adheres thinly to the skin for a perfect fit Beautifully melts into the skin Moisturizing texture Subtle glow (not an oily shine) Soft yellow base great for redness-prone skin May seem to have weak coverage due to thin application Clumps significantly when powder is applied Not recommended for oily skin types Might not suit yellow skin tones Like all cream-type foundations, it can tear if not dabbed correctly with the puff (you know what I mean, right?) Applies more beautifully with a damp makeup sponge rather than the included puff - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 12, 2019
It applies smoothly and evenly. The glow it gives is quite natural-looking. It's a moisturizing foundation that's perfect for winter use, and being in cushion form makes it easy to apply. I used it until I could see the bottom of the compact. The coverage is... well, and shade 23 is a bit light for most people. It tends to settle into eyelid creases... Also, after wearing it for a while, you'll notice some darkening. I use this product as a primary highlighter since it's on the lighter side. It works great for brightening the inner parts of the face. - mi******Oily SkinApr 15, 2018
The color is nice, with a slight darkening effect. True to its name 'Ampoule Glow', as time passes, it blends with the skin's natural oils, creating a beautiful complexion. It really works hard to give that Inner Glow! When applied over concealer, there's a bit of pilling. It's designed more for enhancing skin texture and glow rather than covering blemishes. If you're looking for high coverage, I wouldn't recommend it. However, as my skin isn't particularly problematic, I found it suitable for everyday use. I think it's crucial to focus on a solid skincare routine. After all, a good foundation is key - when your base is strong, anything you layer on top will look beautiful! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 9, 2018
For a moisturizing essence-type compact, the coverage is surprisingly good. It's wonderfully hydrating, and you can feel a pleasant cooling effect. Even with multiple layers, it applies smoothly without caking. After application, it gives a beautiful glow that makes your skin look even better. Due to its moisturizing nature, it tends to stick to hair and transfer a bit. I suspect it might be a bit challenging to use when the weather gets warmer. - je*****Dry SkinFeb 1, 2018
As someone with dry skin, I find this product provides just the right amount of hydration and gives a nice glow. The coverage is on the lighter side, acting more like a base that naturally brightens your complexion. I'm satisfied with how it creates a natural, 'my skin but better' look. I'm going through this product faster than I expected. It's being used up even quicker than a cushion compact. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased a refill along with it. While the coverage is on the lighter side, the luminous finish makes it great for use as a sheer base.
