I've settled on this product and I'm currently using my sixth bottle. Even after cleansing, my face doesn't feel immediately tight. Once, when my sister visited and left her Senka Perfect Whip, I tried it out of curiosity for a few days. It made my skin feel so tight that I quickly went back to this cleanser, and my face felt incredibly comfortable. Initially, I was skeptical because it felt like it wasn't washing off completely even with lots of water (there was this lingering smooth feeling). However, after cleansing, I use toner with a cotton pad and realized... nothing was left behind. Now I know it's not residual cleansing ingredients, but rather how wonderfully soft it leaves my skin. I use it with peace of mind. I even shared it with my sister, telling her to ditch what she was using and try this instead. Some reviews mention it doesn't remove makeup well, but I also use Acure's cleansing cream... I believe makeup requires double cleansing anyway, and when I use these two products together, I don't feel like anything is left unremoved. Again, when I wipe with toner on a cotton pad, nothing comes off. I don't wear heavy makeup often, so most days I just cleanse with this alone. As I mentioned above, at first it feels constantly slippery, making you wonder if everything has been properly cleansed. Part of this was due to my initial incorrect usage... The quantity isn't very large, and since I buy it from iHerb, I end up purchasing in bulk, which means I have to store it for a while (???). That's a bit of a downside. I still have some of the old version left, so I haven't even tried the renewed version yet;;; (though I've already stocked up on the new version too) Oh, and actually, the most disappointing thing is that all Acure products ㅜㅠ have lids that leak, making them messy. You have to clean the lids periodically;;; I'd like to think they're saving on packaging costs, but the price keeps going up anyway (...) It's essential to dispense it into your hands, work up a lather, and then cleanse with that foam. At first, I mindlessly rubbed it directly on my face, which didn't give me the feeling of a thorough cleanse;; - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 28, 2018
It leaves my skin moisturized and soft after cleansing. The ingredients are good, and it seems to be gentle. It appears to be beneficial for acne-prone skin. The foam tends to travel up to the hairline. Rather than feeling like it's thoroughly cleansing, the lather seems to push into the hair. The scent is reminiscent of cheap dishwashing liquid. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedAug 27, 2018
No irritation and top-notch ingredients! Excellent at removing makeup. My skin doesn't feel overly tight, and the hydration lasts for a long time! The scent is a bit unpleasant due to the lack of fragrance, but it's tolerable. - ja********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 17, 2018
I bought this because of its gentle ingredients, and it was incredibly mild even for my super sensitive skin. The cleanser itself is quite runny, so I wish it came in a pump bottle rather than a tube... - kk*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 22, 2018
It's incredibly gentle on the skin. When my face was acting up, this was the only cleanser that didn't cause any irritation. Such a relief! It smells a bit like dish soap, but I don't mind because the product works so well. However, why on earth did they discontinue it? I'm devastated! I still haven't found a suitable replacement... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinApr 2, 2018
It's neither irritating nor does it leave my skin feeling tight after cleansing. I've been using this cleanser for the fourth time now, feeling reassured as I haven't experienced any major blemishes on my face since I started. It works well for me since I don't wear makeup, but when I occasionally apply sunscreen, I use this after oil cleansing. It doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling after washing. However, for me, that's actually a plus since that sensation usually means my skin feels too tight. I purchased this from iHerb. - lo*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinMar 21, 2018
First off, the ingredients are truly excellent. Just massaging this onto your skin feels like you're doing something good for it, thanks to those quality components. After cleansing, your skin doesn't feel tight, but rather moisturized. While it doesn't completely remove waterproof eyeliner, I use it as a second cleanser after my cleansing oil. For light makeup days, this alone might suffice. When cleaning my makeup brushes, it lathers nicely, cleanses effectively, and leaves them feeling soft. I'm definitely considering repurchasing. Acure is a brand I trust and rely on. It would be perfect if it could thoroughly remove eyeliner too. The fact that it doesn't quite tackle waterproof makeup is a bit disappointing. After your initial cleanse, try applying the cleansing gel to a soft foundation brush and gently massage it over your face. Not only does it cleanse well, but it also leaves your skin feeling incredibly hydrated post-wash! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJan 18, 2018
Free from 20 harmful ingredients and has a refreshing fruity scent. After using this, my face feels so moist that I don't even need to apply emulsion. After use, my face feels slippery. I'm confused whether it's because I didn't rinse it off completely or if my skin has actually improved. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 29, 2017
It cleanses well and feels gentle on the skin! A little goes a long way in creating a rich lather. The scent is lovely too! Nothing particularly bad. It's great except for the slightly inconvenient packaging. Buying this is a smart move! - de********Dry SkinJul 8, 2017
The ingredients are top-notch. It uses glucoside-based surfactants along with soap-based ones. Although I've always used cleansers as a second step, this one is excellent. You won't find many products with this level of surfactants and packaging at this price point. Plus, being a gel cleanser, it's perfect for someone like me who uses a Clarisonic. While it contains many antioxidants, that's not why I'm praising the ingredients. Those probably won't make much difference. It's the quality of the surfactants that impresses me. Though designed for combination to oily skin, it's suitable for dry skin too. In fact, if you're looking for a product that's refreshing without being too drying, this is ideal. It pairs wonderfully with my Clarisonic. When using it, my skin doesn't feel tight or sore, and it doesn't feel like I'm scrubbing too hard, which I really appreciate. Despite all this, I can't give it five stars because of the fragrance. Ah, well... While the citrus scent comes through first, there's this mysterious, citronella-like fragrance that slowly emerges. I can't quite place it. Interestingly, citronella isn't listed in the ingredients. Since I prioritize texture and scent, I'm sorry, but you get 4 stars. I've tried it a few times now... Next time, I think I'll go for an unscented version. Buy it from iHerb. If you're looking for a cleanser to use after your Clarisonic, I recommend this one (though the scent is a matter of personal preference).
