Application: It doesn't dry too quickly, so it doesn't leave marks. As a semi-matte product, the texture is thicker compared to other foundations. This makes it challenging to achieve a very thin skin-like finish, and it's noticeable that you're wearing makeup. However, it does feel like it adheres well to the face. Longevity: Thanks to its good adherence, the staying power isn't bad! But when it does break down, it's not pretty. It's a shame because Estée Lauder and Armani products break down so beautifully. Being semi-matte and thick, you can mix it with sunscreen or other foundations to suit the season, but there's not much you can do about the unattractive breakdown. However, if you touch up well during the day, the breakdown shouldn't be a big concern except in summer. Other advantages: The price is really reasonable, and with its excellent adherence, I think it's a great value-for-money product. I've listed all the pros and cons in the advantages section! I just wish it could be applied a bit more thinly! While this might partly be due to my heavy-handed application, based on other reviews, it seems it genuinely doesn't apply thinly. Try mixing it with different products to find the texture that works best for your skin. It's decent on its own, but isn't the fun of foundation in mixing and matching? - se********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 30, 2019
I'm still on the hunt for the perfect foundation. With my oily skin, makeup tends to fade quickly. Matte types often look patchy around my mouth, and while I don't want thick coverage, I still need to conceal quite a bit. It's a real struggle! However, this one seems to be the best I've tried so far. It doesn't cause any blemishes and hasn't turned greasy yet. You can consider it on the matte side. It finishes with a soft, powdery feel. If you're looking for something long-lasting like me, give this a try. To be honest, finding the right color match can be tricky. The shade lighter than this is Porcelain, but it seemed too pale for me to even attempt. This shade is more like a natural #21 - it doesn't make you look super bright, perhaps because it has a slightly yellowish undertone. I use this on its own without mixing it with anything else. It applies well with a puff. I usually dispense one pump onto the puff and then pat it onto my skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedJul 11, 2018
The coverage is great and it lasts quite well. It doesn't really separate and looks pretty decent. The design is attractive and it's convenient to carry around. With its dropper design, if your hand shakes, you'll end up spilling it everywhere and making a mess. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 4, 2018
I was looking for a hydrating foundation and this was recommended to me. While it's not extremely moisturizing, its water-like texture allows for a thin, even application. It feels hydrating when first applied and becomes more matte over time. The staying power is decent, and it doesn't break down significantly. If you touch up the oilier areas, it seems to last almost all day on cheeks and chin. The dropper format might dispense too much at first, but you'll get the hang of controlling it easily! The scent isn't great. While you can't smell it after application, it might be off-putting at first. As someone with deep dryness, I found that without a solid skincare base, the matte finish can feel a bit drying. Also, this isn't a high-coverage product! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 25, 2018
I've tried every high-end foundation out there. After testing all the new releases and bestsellers with samples from Sephora, I've finally settled on this one. No darkening whatsoever. Even after 8 hours, if you remove half and reapply, there's zero color difference. It wears off beautifully - just blot with oil-absorbing sheets, and it looks freshly applied. Great pore coverage (despite not being silicone-based), beautiful shade range. It's my holy grail. For reference, I'm extremely oily and even Double Wear breaks down on me. No real downsides. Even on bad skin days, this covers everything perfectly. I've tried Double Wear, Ultra HD, Guerlain - you name it, but this one's a game-changer. Oh, one thing - the dropper bottle gets messy... I tried to keep it clean, but gave up after 3 months. Pairs really well with the Hangover primer. - iv*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinMar 18, 2018
Absolutely top-notch. I've tried every high-end foundation out there, and nothing comes close to this one (if you know of any, please comment!). First off, for a complexion product, the ingredients are excellent and it adheres to the skin beautifully. Without any setting spray or powder, it lasts a solid 6 hours. It's a product I can rely on year-round, be it summer or winter. I use the shade Porcelain, which has a slight yellow undertone, but it's so light that it blends seamlessly, giving a radiant finish. My application method is just using my hands - whether I apply a generous amount all at once or build it up in thin layers, it always looks flawless. The coverage is high, and both the adherence and longevity are superb! During seasonal changes, it can occasionally look a bit off, but thanks to its excellent adherence, it's hardly noticeable. During seasonal changes or winter, ensure you have a solid skincare base using products that absorb quickly without pilling. Then apply this foundation. I realize this review might sound like a staff promotion, but I assure you it's not. I'm on my third bottle, purchased with my own money. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinDec 30, 2017
Wow, let's start with three rounds of applause! Clap, clap, clap! This foundation sticks to my skin as perfectly as Estée Lauder Double Wear Nude. My skin type suddenly became extremely dry, and everything I applied would show dead skin cells and look patchy. It was no joke, but this product came to my rescue! Color: As expected from an international brand, there's a wide range of shades. There are many neutral shades with a pink base that Korean customers love, without being too reddish. Coverage: While it's not completely full coverage, I'd give it 4 out of 5. It's easy to build up, and you might not even need concealer. Finish: It's moisturizing on the inside and feels velvety on the outside, more of a satin-velvet texture than powdery. Longevity: Oh, the longevity is actually why I rushed to write this review. This is truly incredible! (I used Pimple Pad, The SAEM Mayu Cream, and Etude Glow On Base as skincare.) Singapore's weather is around 30°C with extreme humidity. I was out all day, in and out of air conditioning, with my skin going from dry to oily - it was chaos! But this foundation was perfect. No creasing at all (I often get foundation creases around my nose and under-eye area), no excess oil, no emphasized dead skin cells, and it didn't wear off. For a whopping 11 hours! And that's without powder! This is truly revolutionary. Here's the disappointing part. On Tarte's website, they suggest using 2-3 drops on a brush, but ha! When I squeeze out one drop from this dropper, it's barely the size of an apple seed. Plus, I found I need to use more of this than other foundations... If you have dry skin, you don't need to use powder. Just spritz on some setting spray. I'll be reviewing more foundations, so keep an eye out! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 19, 2017
It's moisturizing and the coverage is pretty decent. I bought it at Sephora in the US. It's too small, and it's difficult to purchase in Korea.
