  It kept my skin matte without any oiliness. It seemed to control sebum well, which may have contributed to fewer blemishes!

  After applying this, it feels like my sebum production is reduced by more than half. The oiliness on my face significantly decreases.

  Pros

  It does an excellent job balancing oil and moisture, so the next day my T-zone's oiliness is noticeably controlled. I can also feel a significant reduction in sebum production around my nose.

  Cons

  The regular price might be a bit steep, but fortunately they often have sales.

  Pros

  As someone with oily skin, I had excessive sebum and lots of tiny blemishes popping up. But after using this, my skin's oiliness has significantly reduced and my sebum is under control. I'm definitely repurchasing. For acne-prone and oily skin types, the Bioderma line seems to be the best. I use their cleansing water and toner too - they're affordable and effective!

  Cons

  I can't really think of any downsides. However, if you have dry skin, you might want to avoid this as it has a matte finish.

  Pros

  I originally intended to buy a refiner, but I'm glad I got this instead. It makes my face feel soft and powdery! I think it's reduced my sebum production!

  Cons

  The price... sigh. If it weren't for the cost, I'd love to keep using it. I'll have to wait for a sale.

  Tip

  I have combination-oily skin, and even when I only apply this, my skin doesn't feel tight at all.

  I love how it reduces oil production and doesn't feel sticky on my skin.

  Cons

  I'm not sure if it's because I didn't know how to use it properly, but after about a month, I experienced a significant breakout of blemishes.

  Tip

  I recommend using it for at least a month before making a final decision.

  Pros

  Ever since COVID hit and I've been wearing a mask constantly, my skin has been a total mess. My face was an oil slick, and no matter how thoroughly I cleansed, those pesky blemishes would throw a party on my skin in no time. I hadn't used my Houttuynia Cordata serum for a while since I wasn't getting breakouts, but I started applying it consistently along with this product. Lo and behold, all my blemishes vanished! Now my skin feels so fresh and matte when I wake up, it's amazing. I'm thrilled that it's also great at clearing out those pores!

  Cons

  The liquid seems a bit separated, which is off-putting. I'm still using it since it doesn't cause any skin issues, but it doesn't look great in the bottle.

  Tip

  I only apply it in the evening! When I use it in the morning before makeup, I find it can be a bit drying.

  Pros

  My skin suddenly became extremely oily, with an oil explosion on my forehead and T-zone. But after applying this, my stretched-out pores became firmer! While it can't actually shrink pore size, it does control sebum production, turning my gaping pores into shy ones. I'll keep using this to prevent them from stretching out again! I'm truly satisfied!!

  Cons

  It's definitely matte, so I'd recommend using a more hydrating product on your cheeks and forehead, and only applying this around the nose area.

  It's amazing at controlling sebum. When I apply this, my skin feels completely soft and matte.

  I think it's a bit pricey for the amount you get. That's my only complaint!

  Even if you have oily skin, you might want to layer this with other creams as it can be quite drying on its own.
