I bought this because it's supposed to balance oil and moisture for my textured skin. I actually got all Bioderma products while traveling abroad! Use it only in summer though. It made my skin crack and absorbed instantly, but left it even drier. I'd recommend it for summer use. While it doesn't absorb oil like a powder, it generally helps control excess sebum by creating a matte finish on the skin. The price is reasonable considering how much product you get. Even a small amount is effective at managing oiliness. The staying power wasn't particularly long-lasting, and I occasionally experienced blemishes while using it. It's fantastic at controlling excess oil, leaving my skin feeling completely matte and fresh It irritates my eyes, so I have to avoid applying it around the eye area

True to its matte control promise, it makes the skin smooth and velvety - exactly like a primer. It seems perfect for summer makeup, as it should help control oil production and keep your makeup in place. However, it's not particularly affordable for the amount you get. Also, over time, it becomes very runny, almost like a watery toner. As someone with extremely oily skin, this is the only emulsion I can handle While the ingredients aren't the best, I can't find anything else to replace it... I've been using Bioderma Sebium products lately, including toner, cleansing foam, and cleanser, to help calm my blemishes. It's great for managing oil and dead skin cells while being gentle and non-irritating on my skin. I also purchased the Matte Control Cream from the same line to control excess oil. I'm loving it because it keeps my skin matte even with light makeup and absorbs well into the skin. It's become a staple in my routine! The quantity is a bit small for the price... I wish it came in a larger size. Also, for those with combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes like me, be careful not to apply too much. It can make touch-ups look cakey if you overdo it. Since it's a matte cream, those with dry skin might find it too drying, so I'd recommend trying other Bioderma moisturizers instead. On the bright side, the texture is similar to a primer, so it works great as a makeup base too!
