I've tried various low pH cleansing foams, but this one left my skin feeling the least tight after use. It's a great product for those who use a cleanser for their morning routine. I'd say it's a reliable, no-frills cleansing foam. As for the scent, it reminds me of an isotonic drink. It's not overpowering, but rather subtle and pleasant. Among the low pH foams I've used, this one produced the least amount of lather. I tried both a foam net and a bubble maker, but instead of rich foam, it created a runny lather that was inconvenient to use. - tl******Combination SkinJun 10, 2021
This gentle, low pH cleanser with no harsh ingredients didn't cause any blemishes while I was using it. It was a bit challenging to use because it barely lathered. Other low pH cleansers I've tried produce at least some foam when used normally, and with a foam net, they create rich lather instantly with just a small amount. But this one barely foamed even with a foam net - I had to really squeeze it hard to get any bubbles. Also, it stung a bit on the delicate skin around my nose and under it. I thought it would be mild since it doesn't have any concerning ingredients, but I think it might irritate those with super sensitive skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 19, 2020
I'm using this product because of its gentle ingredients. It doesn't cause any irritation. The texture is like a thin emulsion, it doesn't lather well, and the scent is unpleasant. Also, it doesn't seem to have any particular effect on my current skin breakout. - ha******Oily SkinAcne SkinSep 26, 2020
I was worried it might be irritating, but it effectively removed dead skin cells and had decent ingredients, so I used it without any issues. The exfoliating ingredients might feel a bit harsh for some people. - ma*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 27, 2020
✓ I got this product on sale at Lobs for a great price! The octopus-shaped cleansing brush that came with it was actually pretty decent. ✓ After cleansing, I didn't experience any deep dryness. While it doesn't leave my skin feeling parched or tight, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I felt it didn't give that squeaky clean sensation, which left me feeling a bit unsatisfied. ✗ The smell is a major reason why I stopped using this product. It has this flour-like or starch-like scent - I'm not sure if it's gone bad or if that's just how it normally smells, but it made the product unusable for me. ✗ As mentioned earlier, using this product leaves an unpleasant feeling. It doesn't feel like it's actually cleansing, and I feel like I need to wash my face again with a cleansing foam. ✗ It barely lathers at all! Whether you're rubbing it between your palms or on your face, it consistently feels like you're just spreading cream around. I'm glad I got it on sale because if I had paid full price, I wouldn't even give it one star. Needless to say, I won't be repurchasing. For combination skin. Strongly discourage for oily skin types. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 5, 2020
I really appreciated that it wasn't irritating to my skin. Usually, my skin feels quite dry after cleansing, but with this product, I didn't experience that sensation at all. The downside is that, probably due to its low pH, it doesn't seem to remove makeup effectively even after 2-3 washes. Because of this, I found myself reaching for it less often on days when I wore makeup. It's great for morning cleansing or when you've been at home all day without makeup and your skin feels congested. In these situations, it works wonders. - ci******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 12, 2019
The cleansing effectiveness is great, and it's surprisingly moisturizing for a foam cleanser. Personally, I found the feel similar to the Make P:rem Safe Me Cleanser. It's suitable for all skin types and easy to use. I wish they paid more attention to the ingredients. It would be better without PEG. Although it's rinsed off quickly, so it's not as concerning as in leave-on skincare products. If your skin feels dry, try adding a few drops of glycerin or oil to the cleanser before use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 9, 2019
Hello Hwahae community! To help you out, I'll start by sharing my skin condition: My skin type is combination (oily on the nose, dry on the butterfly zone, dry between eyebrows, dry on the chin, oily around the eyes, oily on the forehead, and normal on the cheeks below the cheekbones). I have acne-prone skin with lots of small blemishes on my forehead. Blackheads are concentrated on my nose, with whiteheads on my chin. My skin is sensitive and prone to feeling hot. Positives: It cleanses well. - When I rub it between my hands and massage it on my face, it effectively removes makeup residue. Negatives: - It doesn't foam up. I think a cleansing gel would be more suitable, so I'm not sure why this is called a foam. Not recommended for foam lovers. - Overall, it's disappointing. Using a silicone brush to cleanse makes your skin feel even smoother. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 18, 2019
I've lost count of how many bottles I've gone through since 2017... It was so amazing... It calmed my skin and even tackled those pesky blemishes... There was nothing better for double cleansing and morning washes... Why did they have to change it? After the reformulation, it lathers really well, but the tea tree scent is much stronger. The moment the foam touches my skin, it feels like it's burning? My whole face erupted in tiny bumps! The texture has changed, and even the color of the product is different. Since I haven't switched any other products recently, I suspect this is the main culprit. Reformulation... why did they have to reformulate? Looks like I'll be back to searching for a new cleanser again... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinMay 5, 2019
It's gentle, non-irritating, and doesn't have a strong scent I definitely bought it with a foam maker (that was the purpose of buying it), but even when using the foam maker, it doesn't lather...
