It applies with great color payoff and I love that it's not matte. (I've indicated in the photo how many swipes each swatch is) Be sure to clean the lipstick surface regularly, or dead skin cells from your lips will build up on it. For a budget-friendly alternative, Aritaum's cushion tint Trinity is similar. Trinity has a more matte finish and deeper color payoff! (It becomes less matte after three layers though) It also pairs beautifully with NARS Intrigue!
ConsI think I may have used this past its expiration date because I forgot to note when I first opened it. I'm not sure if it's because it expired or just due to the summer heat, but it melted in the summer and even in winter when I had it near a heat pack. Once it melts, no amount of freezing can save it. As you use it, the base of the product tends to crack and break off on its own. The lipstick wobbles every time I use it now. The distinct scent. I don't like the chocolate-like smell. If you're sensitive to scents, give it a sniff before buying. If it bothers you, it'll keep bothering you endlessly.
TipSince lipsticks come into direct contact with your lips, it's good to clean them daily to prevent bacterial growth. Alternatively, you can freeze them overnight to somewhat inhibit bacterial growth! I find lipsticks the hardest to keep track of expiration dates. So I've started writing the date of first use on a label and sticking it to the lipstick.
