A few days ago, I scored an amazing deal with Clio's Mad Shine Cherry Picker, but wait! I've struck gold again with another pink tint. My sister bought it for me at Olive Young, saying it would suit me. When I swatched it on my hand, I thought, 'Hmm, a nice, safe color.' But here's why it deserves five stars: I'm cool-toned and love coral shades, but they don't suit me. I usually go for makeup with blue undertones. However, this product is different. When applied to the lips, the color transforms! It's pink, but it works for both warm and cool tones. There's a hint of blue, but it subtly shifts to an orangey or coral hue. It might look different on everyone's skin, but when my sister and I tried it, we were amazed by this mysterious pink shade. The color is also quite vibrant and bright. The texture is neither a gel tint nor a liquid tint, but a slightly matte gel-cream hybrid. It glides on smoothly. Unlike gels, oils, or liquids that start off moisturizing but crack as they dry, this one feels like you're dusting your lips with a powdery finish. As for staying power, it survived an hour of eating Vietnamese spring rolls and a trip to the salad bar. Even after I got home, scrubbed my hand with cold water, it was still intact. When I rubbed my hands together, I could see how well it stained. The case is small and sleek, perfect for carrying in your pocket. It's not sticky, so it's great for all seasons. I think it'll be perfect for spring and summer too. It feels moisturizing yet sets to a powder-like finish. It's bright, long-lasting, and offers great value for money! The color looks different on the lips compared to what you see in the tube. It's true that textures can affect how colors appear, but there's definitely a difference between hand and lip swatches! (Not really a con, though.) If you apply a thin layer, then add another thin layer for a gradient effect, it won't budge even if you eat without taking a break. Peripera used to be my go-to for longevity, but it made my lips crack and I had to carry lip balm. This one doesn't dry out your lips! The color is beautiful and doesn't come off as a typical pink. It has hints of coral, pink, and orange all mixed in.
