The fragrance is lovely and the ingredients are great. It seems to be beneficial for hair texture, so if you're concerned about your hair's condition, this could be a good choice. However, I didn't find the cleansing effectiveness to be particularly impressive for either dry or oily hair types. For those with oily hair especially, it might leave you feeling like you haven't washed your hair at all. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 26, 2021
I first discovered Ecoglam when it was featured on 'Get It Beauty' in their shampoo episode. Initially, I went for the Fresh Mint scent, which seemed to be the most popular choice. The cleansing effectiveness was quite good, and for someone with sensitive skin like me, it offered great value for money. After finishing the large bottle and trying other products, I eventually came back to Ecoglam, and now my whole family uses it. Having tried Fresh Mint, I was curious about other scents and bought Garden Floral, which I actually prefer. The fragrance is lovely, and it cleanses just right. Unlike some natural shampoos that have weak cleansing power or require long rinsing, leaving your hair greasy quickly, this one doesn't have those issues. It's great for sensitive scalps, and my parents are satisfied with it too, so I keep buying it for them. I previously got them the Banana Bomb shampoo, but they didn't like the scent, so we switched to this. I used to use Head & Shoulders, which was fine at first, but after two weeks, my scalp started hurting, so I switched. If you have a super sensitive skin like me, I highly recommend this product. This isn't a strong cleansing product, so if you're used to more powerful shampoos, you might find it lacking at first. When I initially switched from a stronger cleanser to this one, I wasn't impressed. However, after using some milder shampoos and coming back to this, I realized its cleansing effectiveness isn't actually bad. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 10, 2021
It feels quite gentle, so it seems less likely to cause irritation. The cleansing effectiveness appears to be weak... It doesn't give that refreshing feeling when washing your hair. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 10, 2021
I chose this shampoo while looking for one with good ingredients that the whole family could use. The scent is pleasant, and the large volume means we can use it generously. The cleansing effectiveness seems slightly lacking. Just a day after washing, my hair gets oily again... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 17, 2021
I've always had an itchy, dry scalp with a lot of dandruff. While I can skip washing for a day without it getting greasy (so others don't notice), I'm the type who gets a lot of flakes even when I wash daily. It's so frustrating! I've never been to a dermatologist for my scalp issues, but the constant itching has made scratching my head a habit. This creates a vicious cycle of more dandruff and more itching. Among all the shampoos I've tried, Ecoglam is definitely in the top three for gentle ingredients. I first used their citrus scent when it was initially released, and I recently repurchased it because I remembered how much I liked it. It's the only shampoo I've rebought specifically for its good ingredients. As the Hwahae app shows, it doesn't contain any harmful components - it's truly gentle and great. However, I still feel itchy even when using this. Like most mild shampoos, it has a slippery texture. That's why they advertise that you don't need conditioner. I really don't use conditioner (because I'm lazy!). Plus, the quantity is enormous - a whopping 1 liter! I want to try other products, but this one just won't run out! Maybe it's because the ingredients are so gentle, but the cleansing effectiveness isn't great. I had to deduct a point for its weak cleansing power. It's not just the feeling of not getting that squeaky clean sensation, but it genuinely seems like it's not cleaning properly. It's as if the dead skin cells on my scalp aren't being removed effectively. If I use it continuously for about a week, remember how I mentioned that scratching my head is a habit? (Warning: this might be a bit gross) I end up with these large dandruff-like clumps. Also, it doesn't rinse out as easily as other products. I've never had this issue with other shampoos, but with this one, I've occasionally felt foam while drying my hair with a towel and had to rewash. Maybe I'm just being silly... The fragrance also doesn't last long at all. Once, after washing my hair and going out, my boyfriend asked if I hadn't washed my hair after about two hours. He said he could smell a slight odor from my scalp. I should mention again that both my skin and scalp are very dry, so my hair doesn't get greasy even if I skip a day of washing! In other reviews, some people mention that it doesn't lather well. After using it multiple times, I've discovered that the key to getting a good lather is to wet your hair thoroughly before applying the shampoo! Even though I have long, thick hair, I only use about one and a half pumps when shampooing. If I want a really thorough clean, I'll wash twice. Because of its weak cleansing power, I use a gentle shampoo from another brand once or twice a week. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 23, 2017
First of all, I put everything aside and the fragrance was so good. I was already familiar with the scent, and I think I might have used a product with the same scent when I was younger. The fragrance is just so pleasing to me haha. In terms of the most important ingredients, it passes my criteria. There are no heavily irritating ingredients, and it suits me well. And compared to other natural shampoos, the lather is definitely better. It seems to lather well even on oily scalp days. Lastly, I think this is a pretty good value product. Not only in terms of the volume, but the price is also good considering the amount of natural ingredients in the product! As is the case with most shampoos that don't have strong cleansing power, this one also seems to leave my hair a bit more oily on days when I've sweated a lot or my hair is very greasy. So on those days, I use another shampoo to just quickly cleanse my scalp, and then use this shampoo for a second wash. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 19, 2017
Here is my review after being selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer~ 🎵 First, my scalp is oily and my hair texture is close to dry(?) and my hair has been severely damaged by a recent digital perm. 🎵 When buying shampoo, the most important factor I consider is cleansing power, and I would give it around 9 out of 10 points. Of course, due to the oil, there may be no squeaky clean feeling when rinsing, but I've heard that oily scalp actually needs the oil component. I didn't feel any greasiness or scalp odor on the day I used the shampoo. 🎵 Thanks to the oil component, I didn't need to use a conditioner or treatment, but after using it for a week, I found its limitations. Compared to the *Nature shampoo I used before, my hair felt much more frizzy. 🎵 The shampoo volume is quite large and the lather is abundant, so the cost-effectiveness is 10 out of 10. 🎵 The fragrance is not my personal favorite, but it's not bad, though the lasting power is almost non-existent. 🎵 My overall score is 8.5 out of 10 points. I can't help but compare it to the *Nature shampoo I used before, which was the best I've ever used. It's a bit more oily for a shorter period of time (which I suppose means it has less cleansing power) and my hair feels a bit more frizzy. While it has advantages in price and volume, after using it up, I think I'll go back to purchasing the one I used before. It seems like using the same shampoo daily for oily scalp is not a good idea. I'm currently alternating between good quality shampoos. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 18, 2017
I was selected as a reviewer and tried it out. First of all, the capacity is huge - just one pump gives an enormous amount, so it's very convenient. The scent is really nice. It's closer to mint or peppermint, a phytoncide-like fragrance, so it's refreshing. Most importantly, even just using the shampoo, my hair feels as soft as if I had used conditioner. The cleansing power is a bit weak. I think it's because there are hardly any chemical ingredients, but the problem is that even after washing, it doesn't really feel like my hair is clean... It's not just a feeling, but within a few hours after washing, my hair gets greasy again. Haha. Given the product's characteristics, you probably don't need to use a separate conditioner.
