It's great as an accent. The orange-red shade applies thinly, lasts well, and looks lovely. It can dry out your lips, so you need to apply it quickly and neatly before it sets. - kd*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 1, 2021
The color has a bit more of a pink undertone than I expected, and it leaves a subtle tint that lingers! The downside seems to be that it becomes increasingly drying as time passes. - ok**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 18, 2020
I bought this because it was affordable, but I'm pleasantly surprised by its great value for money. I'm really enjoying using it. The color payoff is also satisfying. It's a bit too matte, which tends to accentuate dead skin cells on the lips. You'll need to exfoliate your lips well before applying it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedNov 8, 2020
Q Color The shade has a red-orange feel with a subtle pink undertone. It's the kind of color that lights up your face like a spotlight! I think it leans a bit pinker than what's shown in the product photo. It's a beautiful shade that works well for both warm and cool skin tones. Q Staying Power The staying power is impressive! It lasts for a long time without completely disappearing even after eating. I'm very satisfied with its longevity. By the way, the adherence to lips and color payoff are also really great! Q Staining Power The staining power is absolutely insane! It leaves a really vivid stain on the lips. This could be seen as either an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on your preference. Q Matte Finish On my lips, it felt really matte. When you apply this, your lips might feel a bit dry. Sometimes it can accentuate dead skin cells. That's why I always apply a lip balm before using this lipstick. Q Fixing Power Because it stains strongly and sets quickly, it can be a bit challenging to create a gradient effect. I've included this as a potential drawback. As for tips, I don't have any specific ones, but I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a vibrant red color that brightens up their complexion. - dm********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRednessRecommendedOct 7, 2020
I'm using the other two shades as well! The staying power is excellent, and the colors are vibrantly beautiful. You need to shape your lips immediately after application. It sets quite quickly... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 16, 2020
It's the quintessential orange-red tint! I bought it on a whim for just $1.50 without seeing the color, and aside from a slight pink undertone, I loved it. If you're into those fluorescent tints that really brighten up your face, I highly recommend this one. As someone who adores matte finishes, I was thrilled to find a truly, completely matte tint for the first time. It adheres to your lips like glue, giving you incredible staying power. The liquid formula glides on smoothly when you apply it, and after a short while, it sets perfectly on your lips. It sets so quickly that it's challenging to create a gradient effect, unfortunately. If you apply lip balm over it, it looks absolutely stunning. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 27, 2020
It's a bargain! Try out a new shade for less! I love matte tints, so this one really hit the spot for me. It seems to accentuate dead skin cells a bit, and personally, I didn't care for the taste... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJun 30, 2020
The color payoff is great and the price is so affordable, making it perfect for everyday use! When I apply it, my lips feel a bit tingly or burning, which is uncomfortable. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 25, 2020
Last Wednesday, I accidentally dropped my beloved WakeMake x Kangol collab tint on the 2N bus while heading home (oh nooo!), so I had to quickly buy a new one. These days I'm totally smitten with Hyeri Lee from 'Amazing Saturday' (how cute that her name is the same backwards!). She's the model for It's Skin, you know! I was going to get their pencil-shaped tint, but couldn't get past the case design, so I ended up ordering the Life Color Lip Crush Matte 3+1 set (shades 7, 9, 18) online. It arrived today, so here's my review! (05/25/20 - Congrats to SHINee on their 12th anniversary, you shining stars!) Shade 7 is a red-orange combo, perfect for summer. It's the only bright shade I got! My skin has a deep undertone or maybe I'm a warm autumn - all I know is I'm clearly a yellow-toned Asian with warm undertones. I haven't tried it on my lips yet, but the warm color with yellow rather than blue undertones should suit warm skin tones well. When I swatched it on my wrist to check the color payoff, it went on smooth and hydrating at first, then set to a matte finish! It was so cool. Even the areas with excess product that hadn't set when I took the swatch photos were completely matte by the time I went to remove it. Talk about serious staying power! After trying it on, there was a very slight tingling sensation on my lips, but less than a mint candy. It applies smoothly and sets within seconds, so the longevity is great! However, once it sets it's hard to touch up, so be careful when applying. Overall, I'm super satisfied! You can see the swatches in the 5th and 6th photos (from top: shades 7, 9, 18). The 5th photo is the original, and the 6th is edited to match the actual color as closely as possible. Shade 7 (in the 6th photo) is actually a bit brighter and more saturated in real life than in the swatch. I haven't tried it yet, but I expect it to be extremely matte - though that's not really a con since it's supposed to be a matte tint. The staining power is intense - when I tried to remove the arm swatches with cleansing water, it wouldn't come off easily. I had to scrub hard, which irritated my skin and made it red. But again, this was expected given its reputation for longevity. I don't have any additional comments yet, but I've heard it can be extremely matte and might settle into fine lines. If that bothers you, try the WakeMake Mousse Talk Tint instead. It has a velvety texture that glides on smoothly and has good staying power too. It's my holy grail product. I would totally repurchase it if I didn't have this weird thing where I can't use the same product more than once... - ru*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 22, 2020
My complexion varies slightly depending on whether I exfoliate or not, but I generally use shade 23. My skin has a yellow undertone that matches perfectly with a darker 23 shade. Color: It's an orange-coral-red. If we compare it to MAC's Lady Danger, imagine that with a touch less yellow, slightly lower saturation, and a drop of transparency mixed in. There's a very subtle pink tint in the base, which should make it universally flattering for most people. It's perfect for wearing on bare lips when you're not using any other makeup. Minimal transfer: I love that it doesn't transfer much. Quick-drying: Some matte lip lacquers take ages to dry, but this one sets at just the right pace. It's not too quick or too slow - it takes about a minute to dry, which is ideal for creating gradients or other lip looks. There is a bit of transfer. You might need to blot it once or twice with a tissue to prevent any further transfer. To be honest, I'm so smitten with it right now that I can't see any flaws. I wish I had discovered this sooner... Why did it take me so long to find this gem? I've noticed they've been having a lot of sales lately... It's Skin isn't discontinuing this, are they? They absolutely shouldn't... The product shown is the 3rd 'it' item in the photo, taken with a Galaxy phone. Please note that it appears slightly yellower in the picture than in real life.
