While I'm not sure about its effectiveness on pores, the lack of excess oil makes it seem great for oily skin types. It felt a bit drying for use in fall and winter. There was some deep dryness, so you definitely need to layer other hydrating products before using this, which is a bit disappointing. I decided to try the cream since the PIO ampoule has such a great reputation among those with oily skin. The absorption isn't bad, and I liked that it comes in a tube format. When applying, it feels like a gel, but once it's fully applied, it finishes with a slightly silky feel, similar to a primer, which can feel a bit heavy. It's pretty decent overall. Absorbs well and feels nice on the skin. Just right for everyday use. I think it's supposed to do something for pores, but I'm not sure. The scent isn't particularly pleasant.

The finish feels a bit like I've applied a primer, which makes me worry it might clog my pores. It also pills if you apply too much, and it felt drying on my skin. When I apply this in the morning before heading out, unlike other products that make my skin oily by lunchtime due to the dry office air, this one keeps my skin balanced until evening without any greasiness or tightness! It was so pleasant to apply! The scent is sweet and lovely. I didn't feel like it reduced my pores as claimed, which is disappointing.
