I've tried so many lip care products, but only three have truly impressed me. One is this Agave lip balm, another was a lip balm from D* (which I think is discontinued now), and the last is E*'s E* Lip Conditioner. I've used popular products like Fresh Sugar Lip Balm, Clarins Lip Oil, and even Caudalie's lip balm (which I found to be like glue... I love Caudalie, but their lip balm was a miss). Most lip care products I've tried just sit on top of my lips, failing to provide deep hydration and often causing peeling later. Even expensive ones didn't help. But this one, while not feeling super moisturizing when applied, doesn't cause flaking the next day and seems to protect my lips, leaving them supple. I wish it felt more hydrating when applied, but it doesn't. Still, it's better than many high-end lip care products. As a side note, lipsticks from YSL and MAC tend to cause flaking for me - though this might just be my experience. Regardless of color, I'm often disappointed with how my lips feel after application. The only lipsticks that don't cause flaking or dryness for me are from Burberry and Marc Jacobs. NARS was okay too, but it's not a brand I'm particularly fond of. Even Dior, Chanel, MAC, YSL, and Givenchy left my lips drier. So I can't fault the Bite lip balm for not being super soft - just preventing flaking and dryness is no small feat. - ba*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2020
It feels like applying slightly melted glue stick to your lips. The moisturizing effect provides a quick sense of relief when you're in a hurry. Absolutely no effect whatsoever. I genuinely love BRTC products, but this one makes me wonder what purpose it was created for. It's completely ineffective. The effect lasts only 2-3 minutes after application, then vanishes like the wind. Worst of all, the scent is unpleasant, and if you accidentally taste it, it's truly awful.
