To thoroughly remove makeup, you'll need to use a cleansing oil along with it or pre-cleanse before using it as the final step. The reason I've been using it for 7 years is that it's easy to use, doesn't feel tight, and is gentle, making it great for daily use. The foaming action is convenient, and while it does produce a good amount of lather, it's not an excessive amount, so the application is smooth and the texture is very nice. It's the best product for daily use.
