I went to get Physiogel but ended up trying this tester, and the staff totally sold me on it haha. When an employee recommends something, it feels trustworthy, but was it just promotion? Anyway, they say the ingredients are good, so I'll give it a try. Got it for 28,000 won with a 10,000 won discount. It has a thick ointment-like texture. Absorbs faster than I expected. For me, it's a bit too thick, so adding oil on top works best. After using it for a day, I'm really hopeful since I tend to have redness (I always thought I just had to focus on hydration and redness was just my skin type... but Dr.G Blemish Soothing Cream opened my eyes to how good blemish and redness-targeting products can be. Couldn't repurchase because it was pricey, so I ended up with this similarly priced alternative after looking around).
ConsIt's quite expensive - really can't buy it without a sale. The price is on par with Eucerin when bought directly from overseas. [One week later] Extremely drying... The moisture evaporates within an hour of application, leaving only oil behind. I've never seen a cream disappear so quickly, leaving my skin parched. Forget about blemishes and redness - my skin turned into a desert first, and within a few days my complexion looked dull. So mad about the false advertising!!!!!!!
TipThis alone isn't enough for hydration. You'll need to use it with other moisturizing products. I use ampoule > cream > oil (I have combination skin, typical for Korea, somewhat resilient to blemishes, really hate dryness, and prone to major redness).
