Yet, I can't help but hold onto the hope of using antioxidants... Even though I know that collagen, vitamin C, and other ingredients don't penetrate the skin, and that niacinamide and adenosine have minimal impact on the skin. I'm also aware that exercise, diet, and sleep quality are more important than these products. Still, I use them anyway. This time, I've gone through about 2-3 bottles of the AHC Whitening Ampoule. One reason I use products like this is for the improved skin texture and temporary brightening effect. It's great to use before applying makeup. A single drop is recommended, but I tend to apply more. It seems to have gained functional product certification due to ingredients like niacinamide (though it probably doesn't contain much, and it's unlikely to achieve whitening or even brightening effects). There's no stickiness, and it seems to contain a small amount of glycerin. It applies lightly, absorbs quickly, and enhances the absorption of other products layered on top. As a first serum, it feels like I've applied about 3 layers of toner. And that's it!
ConsUnfortunately, it contains alcohol. The ingredients aren't particularly impressive, with several emollients high up on the list. I bought multiple bottles because it was cheaper that way. I won't be repurchasing.
TipWhen my skin feels dry, I sometimes spritz a drop before applying cushion foundation, which works well. I keep it in the bathroom and slather it on first thing - it helps reduce tightness. The manufacturer is Kolmar Korea. It has a mature, 'auntie' cosmetic scent. The consistency is like a runny toner, clear with a slightly murky color.
