Consistently caring for your skin is crucial, with exfoliation and moisturizing being the most important steps. Yet, I can't help but hold onto the hope of using antioxidants... Even though I know that collagen, vitamin C, and other ingredients don't penetrate the skin, and that niacinamide and adenosine have minimal impact on the skin. I'm also aware that exercise, diet, and sleep quality are more important than these products. Still, I use them anyway. This time, I've gone through about 2-3 bottles of the AHC Whitening Ampoule. One reason I use products like this is for the improved skin texture and temporary brightening effect. It's great to use before applying makeup. A single drop is recommended, but I tend to apply more. It seems to have gained functional product certification due to ingredients like niacinamide (though it probably doesn't contain much, and it's unlikely to achieve whitening or even brightening effects). There's no stickiness, and it seems to contain a small amount of glycerin. It applies lightly, absorbs quickly, and enhances the absorption of other products layered on top. As a first serum, it feels like I've applied about 3 layers of toner. And that's it! Unfortunately, it contains alcohol. The ingredients aren't particularly impressive, with several emollients high up on the list. I bought multiple bottles because it was cheaper that way. I won't be repurchasing. When my skin feels dry, I sometimes spritz a drop before applying cushion foundation, which works well. I keep it in the bathroom and slather it on first thing - it helps reduce tightness. The manufacturer is Kolmar Korea. It has a mature, 'auntie' cosmetic scent. The consistency is like a runny toner, clear with a slightly murky color. - su*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 14, 2019
The texture is firm and bouncy, and when applied, it gives a noticeable boost to skin elasticity The dropper bottle feels a bit inconvenient to use, and the scent isn't quite to my liking I've tried all three AHC D'ESTE serums, and this C serum seems to be the best of the bunch - eu********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMar 23, 2019
The watery texture absorbs incredibly fast and leaves a refreshing finish. It feels like it forms a protective layer on the face, making your skin feel healthier and firmer. I'd recommend applying it right after cleansing. It can leave your skin feeling dry after use. Since it's meant to be the first step in your routine, you can follow up with more hydrating products. However, if you're looking for intense hydration, this might not be the best choice for you. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2018
I apply this right after washing my face, once the skin is dry, both morning and evening. As I'm nearing the end of the bottle, I can really feel my complexion becoming brighter and more radiant. It can feel a bit tingling if you use it too often, when your skin is super sensitive, or when you're not feeling your best. Make sure to use it in moderation. - ke*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedAug 2, 2018
The brightening effect is definitely noticeable. It absorbs well and the pump dispenser makes it convenient to use. As I have extremely dry skin, it's hard to expect sufficient hydration or moisture from this ampoule alone. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 12, 2018
As a first serum after cleansing, I found it absorbs well into the skin... The quantity is too small, and one bottle certainly isn't enough... I didn't see any brightening effects... It just felt like using a light hydrating serum! I found it works well when I gently wipe my face with toner before masking, apply this ampoule, and then use a sheet mask. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 31, 2018
- With consistent use, you can feel your complexion becoming brighter - As a basic care product, it absorbs well without feeling sticky - Love how it applies lightly on the skin - The pump dispenser makes it convenient to use - It absorbs so quickly that it can leave a slightly dry feeling after application I'm using this in combination with Ampoule A (for firmness), and it works great for my very dry skin. Personally, I find it's best to first spritz some mist on my face for hydration, then apply the ampoule. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 6, 2017
I bought this along with the B ampoule, and I feel like my complexion has brightened up. It's convenient and hygienic to use since you press the back part to dispense the product. For being the first product to apply after cleansing, it's not as hydrating as I'd expect. It absorbs into the skin quickly, but leaves it feeling a bit dry. It works even better when used together with the toner, emulsion, and moisturizing cream (super rich) from the same line.
