Hair Loss Shampoo Series 4 "Intense hydration. Don't expect strong cleansing, absolutely not recommended for oily scalps" I bought this because I heard castor oil is good for hair loss. As someone with slightly dry to normal scalp, it was a bit rich for me. Still, I continued using it as I noticed less hair fall while washing. Halfway through the bottle, something unprecedented happened - sebum started coming off my scalp. I was shocked and immediately switched shampoos. In my opinion, it's about a 3-star product. This is my mother's holy grail shampoo. She's in her 50s with mild hair thinning at the crown. She has a dry scalp and can go two days without washing in winter. Her scalp isn't particularly sensitive. She says it's wonderfully moisturizing and loves the scent. She's happy that it seems to reduce hair fall. I understand that castor oil helps with scalp hydration and nourishment (due to amino acids), which in turn aids in preventing hair loss. This seems to have worked well in her case. The scent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know that red syrup medicine they give you when you have a cold? It's like that mixed poorly with a floral scent. And it's not subtle at all - it's as strong as perfume shampoos... Not recommended unless you have a dry scalp. If your scalp isn't dry, you'll need to alternate this with a scalp-cleansing shampoo or use an exfoliating product to remove dead skin cells and excess sebum. If you have dry or dry and sensitive skin, give this a try. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 20, 2019
The ingredients are great, and it makes my hair so soft that I don't even need to use a separate conditioner. Please, Shea Moisture, come to Korea! The scent might be a bit divisive, but I personally didn't mind it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 22, 2018
I bought this because I heard castor oil is good for scalp health. The ingredients seem pretty decent too. As someone who tends to use shampoo generously, the price is a bit steep for liberal use. - ko******Dry SkinSensitive SkinDec 15, 2017
When I use shampoos with subpar ingredients, my scalp quickly becomes oily and develops an odor. However, this shampoo didn't cause any of those issues. My scalp felt comfortable, and the Jamaican line seems to be quite popular as it comes in a larger size, allowing me to use it for a longer time. For me, a shampoo is at its best when it leaves my scalp feeling squeaky clean after rinsing. With this one, it was a bit challenging to achieve that squeaky-clean feeling. I was left wondering if I had washed it all out properly. Also, as the previous reviewer mentioned, the scent is a bit odd. Nevertheless, it's not so bad that it's unusable.
