Suitable for facial exfoliation massage. Works well for cleansing. I mistook it for a shower gel because of the name. The product name is confusing. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2020
It's great at removing dead skin cells without causing much irritation There aren't really any downsides, except maybe the small amount you get... - ja*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2020
I use the UCG Phyteroma Peeling Shower Gel for Face about twice a week. The instructions say to use it on dry skin before showering, but I slightly dampen my face first because it's gentler that way. Everyone's skin is different, so adjust as needed for your comfort. Although it's a facial peeling gel, I'd recommend using it just once a week rather than too frequently. Remember to follow up with hydration after exfoliating to maintain your skin's moisture balance. - se******Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 1, 2019
I used this as it came with a body product, and it's gentle and nice. While some scrubs can be harsh and pollute the environment, this gel-type product doesn't irritate at all. In winter, even after using toner, my skin feels rough, so exfoliation is essential for smooth makeup application. With my normal skin, I don't need intense blackhead or sebum removal - I'm satisfied if my skin just feels smooth. If the price is right, I'll likely keep buying it. I wish there was a bit more product. Also, it can stick to hair and look like dirt. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDec 8, 2017
I tried this for the first time and it seems to remove dead skin cells effectively. After using it, my skin feels soft and moisturized. Apart from the small quantity, there's not much to complain about. You just need to make sure you rub it in well. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinJul 15, 2017
This is hands down the best peeling gel I've ever used. It's amazing at sloughing off dead skin cells, especially on my nose where they tend to accumulate! Just to clarify, this peeling gel does form little balls when you rub it, similar to how dead skin might look... For best results, follow up with a cleansing foam after using this. Your skin will feel incredibly soft and fresh! - al*********Combination SkinAcne SkinApr 29, 2017
After using it, it feels like all the grime comes off my face. It removes a lot, like eraser shavings! It seems to leave residue on my face. It's quite sticky. I use it when I bathe. I think I need to wipe my face with lukewarm water and finish with a cleanser one more time. - cg****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 16, 2017
Simple to use and causes minimal irritation. Might be suitable for those with super sensitive skin. The reason it's so gentle is probably because it doesn't exfoliate much. I rubbed it on areas with dead skin cells, but very little came off. I tried it on my T-zone for comparison, and the difference was noticeable. It could work well as a cleanser instead of an exfoliator. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJan 4, 2017
You might get some satisfaction from seeing what looks like dead skin cells come off, but that's about it. Otherwise, it's just a waste of time. The amount of 'gunk' that comes off is proportional to how much you use. It seems like the peeling gel itself is turning into what looks like dead skin cells. Out of curiosity, I tried something gross - I rubbed some oil from the side of my nose between my fingers and then rubbed it in a cup of water. Lo and behold, 'dead skin' appeared! I did it twice, and it happened both times. This isn't actually removing dead skin from your face. It's just the product clumping up when it meets the natural oils on your skin, creating the illusion of dead skin cells. It's basically useless. The advertising is way too exaggerated - even if you had a lot of dead skin, it's impossible for that much to come off after just three rubs. If you have money to burn, go ahead and buy it, but don't say I didn't warn you about the regret. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinMar 25, 2016
My mom keeps repurchasing this product multiple times. She really loves this peeling gel! We've been using it for over 3 years now. First of all, it's excellent at removing dead skin cells while being gentle on the skin. The volume is generous, and the size is just right, making it convenient to carry around. When exfoliating, it tends to stick to the face a bit, so you need to rinse thoroughly when cleansing.
