As an 8-year self-employed cafe owner with extremely dry skin, hand cream is essential not just in winter, but summer too. I discovered this product through a friend's recommendation. Its unique, firm cream texture provides deep hydration. While not as oily-smooth as some, it absorbs quickly for long-lasting moisture without any sticky residue. It's technically unscented, but there's a slight tangy scent that dissipates quickly and isn't bothersome. True to its 'Working Hands' name, the clean finish is impressive - you can apply and get right back to work. Even after washing your hands, there's noticeably less slipperiness. While this could be considered a holy grail hand cream in many ways, I won't be repurchasing. Checking the ingredients on Hwahae revealed some concerning components! There's an ingredient that can release formaldehyde, a carcinogen we're all too familiar with. As someone who applies hand cream 2-3 times an hour, I want to avoid anything potentially harmful to myself or the customers eating food I prepare. If I hadn't known about the Hwahae app, I might have kept using it... It's time to bid farewell to this Working Hands cream I briefly but intensely loved. P.S. If anyone knows of a product with a similar feel, please let me know!
ConsThe preservative [Diazolidinyl Urea] poses a risk: • It's a substance that can potentially release formaldehyde, a known carcinogen. The stiffness for a powdery finish and its characteristically heavy moisturizing feel might not suit oily or combination skin types.

I love that it's fragrance-free.
ConsWhile it's moisturizing and non-sticky, it does leave my skin feeling a bit tight.

I had previously gifted the same product in a tube type to my mother, and she was so satisfied with it that I decided to get one for myself. I ended up purchasing the jar type that was on sale. As a student who frequently uses pens, I used to struggle with slippery hand creams, often having to wipe off my fingertips or rewash my hands. But since using Working Hands, I've never once felt uncomfortable after applying it. My skin tends to get flaky, which was stressful, but surprisingly, this cream isn't too heavy in texture and absorbs well. I definitely plan to repurchase!
ConsAfter applying, there's a slightly stiff feeling. Also, it seems like dust could easily get into the jar...

While my skin isn't extremely dry, my hands turn into turtle shells during seasonal changes and winter. As the elderly would say, it's like ice has formed on them. When this season comes and my skin starts flaking like I'm malnourished, I often find myself hiding my hands in crowded places. The light hand cream I used at work couldn't cover the itchiness from dryness, so I chose this 'balm' formulation for its richer texture. I'm satisfied as it solved my biggest problem! Highly recommended for those sensitive to fragrances. It's unscented!!!
ConsIt's not an emulsion-type that absorbs immediately, but rather a hand balm you need to work into the skin, with a thick consistency. While it's not overly greasy, there's a slight stiffness and slipperiness left on the palms. I don't mind it, but individual experiences may vary, so keep this in mind.
TipPersonally, I think L'Occitane is the best. However, if you're sensitive to ingredients, please make sure to check before using. (It can be a bit disappointing when you find out...)
