It also provides decent hydration, so you can use it comfortably without any fuss. If you really put your nose to it, you might detect an extremely faint lip balm scent, but it's so subtle it's almost embarrassing to even mention.
ConsI had been using this for a while, but at some point, my lips started to crack easily no matter how much I applied. They became irritated, and I developed a rash-like reaction along my lip line. It seems like I had an allergic reaction to something in it. I managed to calm it down with aloe, but at first, I didn't realize it was because of this product. As soon as I switched lip balms, the problem went away. Make sure to check if you're compatible with the ingredients before using.
TipChecking the ingredients is essential.

ConsFor the first time in my life, I experienced angular cheilitis because of this lip balm. The area around my lips became swollen, sore, itchy, and small blisters appeared. I thought my immune system might be weak, so I just applied angular cheilitis ointment. (Ironically, I kept using this lip balm diligently even while applying the medication, haha.) But after a month, it still wasn't healing, which worried me. The lip balm had an unpleasant smell that got worse, as if it had gone bad, so I threw it away. I wondered if it was always such a terrible lip balm, so the next day I read some 1-star reviews. I was shocked to find a flood of reviews describing the same lip symptoms as mine... I'm glad I threw it away, even if it was late. I've learned my lesson to always check negative reviews before buying in the future.
TipGood ingredients don't always mean a good product. Always check negative reviews before purchasing. If you notice symptoms of angular cheilitis on your lips, discard the product immediately.

ConsUsing this lip balm exclusively caused small blisters to appear along my lip line, resulting in redness, stinging, and symptoms similar to cheilitis. Being pregnant, I deliberately chose it for its good ingredients (MomGuide A-grade), but after suffering for over two weeks with lips like my husband's, I had to get a steroid prescription from a dermatologist and use Zeroid to finally recover. Even after giving birth, I tried the new one I had bought, not wanting to waste it, but the same symptoms reappeared after just two days. Just because the ingredients are good doesn't mean they'll work for everyone. I caution those who plan to use it to be careful. So far, I've had no issues with Uriage, Illiyoon, Himalaya, Nivea, or FOFOCREAM.
TipGentle ingredients aren't everything.

ConsCome to think of it, whenever I use this lip balm exclusively, I develop cheilitis. I had forgotten, but in the past, I threw it away after getting cheilitis from using it. This time, I used it again absentmindedly and ended up suffering from cheilitis for about 2-3 weeks...

The scent is barely noticeable to me, which I love as someone who prefers fragrance-free products.
ConsI'm not sure if the ingredients don't agree with me, but the more I applied it, the drier and more chapped my lips became. It's probably just not compatible with my skin, though the product itself felt nice.

ConsThe scent isn't my style at all. I usually love and use Bioderma products, but this one feels too slippery and oily, with a slightly heavy sensation? Now that I look at other one-star reviews, I see someone had the exact same experience as me. My lips started itching along the lip line, and it felt gritty. When I went to the doctor, I was diagnosed with contact dermatitis and had to take steroids for two weeks. But as soon as I stopped, it flared up again and is getting worse... Today I realized it was because of this lip balm... I'm shocked because I don't even have particularly sensitive lips normally. After stopping use, the symptoms came back within a few days. And when I'm a bit tired, that gritty feeling returns.
TipDon't buy this product.

ConsI've used Carmex, Uriage, Bioderma, and Nivea without any issues, but within days of using this organic lip balm, my lips started peeling. Thinking that the gentle ingredients might mean less hydration, I applied it more diligently. However, my lips became itchy and tingly, and eventually, a few red blisters appeared, leading me to seek medical help. The doctor diagnosed it as folliculitis. While that might make sense around the lips, it's surprising to have folliculitis on the red part of the lips too. At the time, I was also dealing with work stress and lack of sleep, so I switched back to Carmex tube. When I felt better, I tried the organic lip balm again, but the same symptoms reappeared within two days, and by the fourth day, blisters formed on my lips once more. This confirmed that the lip balm was the problem. I had to undergo another two weeks of treatment. Needless to say, I threw away the lip balm and gave the unused new one to a friend to try, as it might work fine for her. Of course, I explained my experience to her. I had taken a photo of the blisters before treatment, but it's gone now. I'm attaching a photo of my lips after treatment.

I really dislike fragranced cosmetics, so I'm pleased this one is unscented. It's quite moisturizing, as long as it doesn't cause any blemishes on my lips.
ConsWhile the ingredients seem good, I can't understand why my lips are reacting so badly. They become itchy, painful, hard, and swollen...

Oh my! I usually get an allergic reaction on my lips even when using lip balms, as I have chronic cheilitis, so that could be why.
ConsRecently, perhaps due to the change in seasons, the area around my lips became extremely dry. So I tried applying lip balm for the first time in years, and oh boy, what a disaster it turned out to be! The allergic reaction spread all around my lips, causing stinging and dryness for days, and my cheilitis flared up again. I'm truly devastated.
TipFor those with cheilitis, please avoid using lip balms. Instead, apply a hydrating moisturizer. If it's still dry, try using honey...

It's smooth and easy to apply. The staying power is impressive.
ConsEven though it has safe ingredients, there must be something that doesn't agree with my skin. I'm getting some small bumps...
