  Pros

  I used to love using primers, but at some point, I stopped because they started feeling heavy on my skin. However, after trying the Make Up For Ever primer, I definitely noticed that my skin texture became smoother and my makeup lasted longer compared to when I didn't use a primer. Texture/Application: The consistency is slightly thick, but it spreads easily and absorbs well. Occasionally, the oil and water separate, creating layers, but a quick shake mixes it back together, and it's ready to use. Effects: While results may vary for each person, I personally found that using this primer improved my complexion by minimizing pores and uneven texture. It also controls oil, which seems to enhance makeup longevity. The Pore Minimizer, in particular, contains mineral clay powder, which appears to be more effective at controlling oil compared to other Step 1 primers. I think Make Up For Ever's biggest advantage is offering customized primers for different skin concerns. As someone with large pores and uneven skin texture, the Pore Minimizer worked well for me, and I was satisfied with its performance. I'm looking forward to using it even more as summer approaches, and I plan to repurchase after I finish this one.

  The price is a bit steep. Also, for those with very large pores, the primer might feel like it's settling into the pores, which isn't ideal.
