Despite seeing many reviews saying the cleansing effectiveness wasn't great, I decided to buy it because I'm very thorough with my first cleanse. If you're someone who does a detailed first cleanse, I think you'll like this product. While it doesn't leave your skin feeling squeaky clean after washing, I love that it leaves my skin feeling hydrated.
ConsThere's honestly nothing to complain about, especially considering how affordable it is.
TipMake sure to do a thorough first cleanse before using this product. It's so gentle that it's great as a morning cleanser too.

Despite a few delivery hiccups, I'm now using it well. The Simple Mild Foam Cleanser doesn't have any standout effects, but it's truly simple - a basic foam cleanser with just the essentials. It's perfect for morning use. Being slightly acidic, it doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling, but it lathers nicely. First-time users might wonder if they've cleaned properly due to the slippery finish - I found using lukewarm water helps a lot. I was concerned about potential blemishes due to the citric ingredients, but thankfully, none appeared. I'd recommend this for dry and sensitive skin types, or oily and sensitive skin. It's great for those with oily skin prone to red blemishes who want to gently remove excess oil.
ConsThere's nothing I'm particularly disappointed about. The price point is reasonable, and the ingredients aren't bad at all.
TipHere's a tip for those who haven't experienced any skin reactions or blemishes: try using it as a body wash too. My body skin is also sensitive and often gets itchy right after washing if I use the wrong product. I tried this as I was out of body wash, and surprisingly, it didn't cause any dryness or itching. However, don't use it as a hair product.

It provides just the right amount of hydration. As someone with extremely dry, sensitive skin that's prone to deep dryness, I've always struggled with cleansers that strip my skin, forcing me to layer 3-4 different essences afterward. However, this product cleanses thoroughly without any tightness, and it doesn't leave a slippery feeling either. It's perfect for my super sensitive, dehydrated skin, and the price is as gentle as its ingredients. I'm completely satisfied!
ConsPersonally, I prefer unscented products, and the fragrance of this one isn't particularly appealing. True to its name as a low pH cleansing foam, it has a somewhat medicinal scent. However, given its gentle ingredients and overall satisfactory performance, I can tolerate this mild fragrance as it quickly dissipates with the foam.
TipI'm not sure if this qualifies as a pro tip, but I've found a method that seems to enhance the hydrating effects. After lathering the foam on my face, instead of rinsing immediately, I brush my teeth first. When I rinse afterward, I feel like the moisture lingers longer on my skin. This has become my go-to cleansing routine.

The ingredients seem to be very gentle, as there's no irritation at all. 2. After cleansing, it doesn't leave my skin feeling squeaky clean, but it does feel refreshed. It's not slippery, but leaves my skin feeling soft. 3. It seems to be quite effective at removing makeup as well.
Cons1. The gel-like texture doesn't lather up very well. 2. I don't particularly notice my skin improving from using this. In fact, I've developed some minor blemishes, so I'll need to use it longer to determine if it's an issue with the cleansing effectiveness, the ingredients, or something else.
TipI'd recommend using a foam net or foaming device with this product.

The Simple Mind foam cleanser doesn't do that. It leaves my face feeling not dry at all, which I absolutely love. + Scent: It smells like dish soap! But Hwahae users know that when a product smells like raw ingredients, it's a good sign - no artificial fragrances! - Cleansing power: It doesn't lather much, due to the lack of strong surfactants. I tested it on eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick, and foundation swatches on my hand. Surprisingly, it only removed the eyeshadow. Even the foundation stayed put... Is this for real? Double cleansing is a must with this one. It seems to have just enough cleansing power for a bare face without sunscreen. Best used for morning cleansing! Overall: Great for morning cleanse or as part of a double cleansing routine!
ConsIn trying to be gentle, it seems to have forgotten its role as a cleanser. While it's nice that it doesn't irritate, it's too ineffective to use on its own.

((Gentle feel, soft cleansing, mild lather, and skin feels clean without irritation after use!)) - This product gave a slightly squeaky clean feeling - I'm satisfied that it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after the second cleanse, which can be really uncomfortable if not washed off properly!
Cons- While this product was satisfying for my combination dehydrated skin, it fell short for someone like me who values fragrance. - As it's free from artificial fragrances, the base scent was quite strong. - Nowadays, some products use essential oils for fragrance, I wish they had utilized that approach - it would have made the product even more satisfying!
TipAs it's a sulfate-free product, it doesn't lather much, so rub the product in slightly warm water to create foam for cleansing! ((Applying the product directly to the skin might be irritating))

As you can see, it's packed with skin-friendly ingredients known for their excellent hydration properties. The texture isn't completely watery, nor is it as firm as a typical foam cleanser. It's more like a fluid emulsion, slightly reminiscent of water-based formulas. I use about a pea-sized amount morning and night, which produces quite a rich lather, though the bubbles aren't super fine or dense. After rinsing, there's no squeaky-clean feeling, just a smooth sensation. As a result, there's hardly any tightness post-cleanse, leaving the skin feeling moisturized. Its gentle nature makes it likely suitable for almost all skin types. This is my first time trying a low pH cosmetic product, and while I'm not sure about its benefits yet, I feel I need to learn more about low pH skincare.
ConsThe scent is a bit reminiscent of dish soap, which is slightly off-putting. It's not an artificial fragrance, but I wonder if it's related to the low pH formula. Initially, it bothered me, but as I continued using it, I realized I don't often breathe through my nose while washing my face, so it became tolerable. While the lather is quite rich by my standards, the bubbles are large and loose rather than dense and creamy. When cleansing, it almost feels like there's no foam at all - it's almost like I'm just rubbing my palms on my face. As someone with oily skin, I prefer a squeaky-clean feeling and enjoy seeing dead skin cells come off during rinsing - it gives me a sense of satisfaction. Unfortunately, this cleanser doesn't provide that experience, which is a bit disappointing. I don't often use separate exfoliating products, so I prefer cleansers that can tackle everything at once. This one feels a bit too slippery for my liking.
TipThis cleanser would likely be a great fit for those who enjoy a moisturizing, smooth feeling after cleansing!
