I bought this after watching Yoon Hyejin's YouTube video because she looked so gorgeous. It's a natural yet sophisticated dried rose color with a hint of brick. There's no glossiness at all, but it's not so dry that it emphasizes dead skin cells. It actually has a nice creamy texture that makes it suitable for fall and winter wear. The ingredients weren't as good as I expected... Like most Shu Uemura lipsticks, the transparent case allows you to see the lipstick color clearly, which is a plus. However, the downside is that it's very prone to scratches, making the case look messy quickly. For the price, doesn't the packaging seem a bit cheap? If you apply a lip balm before using this product, it helps with removal. It also seems to help cover dead skin cells and lip lines. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 15, 2020
It's not an overly brown-tinted beige, but a beautiful pink nude color! It's exactly the shade I was hoping for, so I'm absolutely in love with it! The particles are fine, it adheres well to the lips, and doesn't clump. Being a matte lip product, it's also great to use as a base. The product itself isn't disappointing, but I lost it right after taking the swatch photo... I'm heartbroken. If you're looking for a distinctly beige tone, I'd recommend testing it first! For me, it turned out pinker than I expected. - ye*******Normal SkinRecommendedMay 27, 2020
I'm really enjoying this as a cool-toned base lipstick. It's the first lipstick I've ever used up completely! It feels so comfortable on the lips. Shu Uemura really knows how to make great lipsticks. P.S. I can't believe it's being discontinued... It's such a shame because this shade was perfect for summer cool-toned muted complexions. While it's great as a base lipstick, it doesn't work well on its own. - bl*******Normal SkinRecommendedOct 13, 2019
This is the first time I've found a color that gives my face a coral vibe without looking out of place (though the product itself isn't coral). My face suits muted tones (slightly lower saturation and brightness), and I'm a cool-toned winter. I don't often hear that my face is dark, but bright or vivid colors just don't work for me. My face tends to look better with darker burgundy or muted plum shades. When I see people online rocking that effortlessly chic coral look, I've always been so envious of that special vibe. But when I try those 'real' coral products, my lips look like they're floating, my face turns ashy, and the area around my mouth looks darker - it's just not a good look. My friend even makes me wear coral lipstick when she wants a laugh! I was determined to find a color that could give me that coral feeling without looking awkward on my face, moving away from the usual red bean paste shades. After trying on almost every similar-looking color at Sephora, I chose this one. The feel is great too - a velvety matte finish. And surprisingly, it actually gives my face that coral-esque vibe! Looking at the product itself, it's not coral at all. It's definitely not meant to be. It's more of a rose beige. But once my face absorbs all the blue undertones, it somehow transforms into a subtle coral effect. My friend was shocked! For all you cool-toned folks whose faces seem to absorb all the blue tones, if you're tired of dull red bean paste colors, give this a try! Just to be clear, I'm not saying it turns into a true orange coral on your face. It's not quite an orange-y coral, more like a fresh, pink-coral 'feeling', if that makes sense? That being said, on days when I'm not feeling my best, my lips can still look a bit disconnected. On those days, I just dab a bit of my usual color in the center of my lips, and it works fine. My skin tone is such that shade 21 is a bit light on me and requires contouring, while shade 23 makes people ask why my face looks so dark today. So I usually go for shade 21 with contouring... maybe I'm a 22? Anyway, that's my skin tone, and I absolutely love charcoal when buying clothes. If you're similar to me, give this a try! - fr*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 4, 2019
It's BG943! The application is fantastic, it lasts really well, and the color is so pretty! The case feels a bit flimsy. I'm worried it might get dented easily. Use this as a base layer. It's best suited for cool skin tones as it's an extremely pale shade. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 1, 2019
First of all, the color is absolutely gorgeous! It's a sophisticated shade that's not too dark and matches my complexion perfectly. I use it every day! While it's great on its own, I'm a lipstick enthusiast and tend to buy a lot. Sometimes I'll purchase a beautiful color, but when I apply it, it doesn't quite suit my skin tone. That's when this product comes to the rescue! I apply it on top, and it completes my look flawlessly. It pairs well with any color, so it's always in my makeup bag as my go-to lip product. I've been using it for a long time, and there's nothing I dislike about it. - br******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 13, 2019
I'm writing this review for BG945 as it's the closest match. The color is absolutely stunning - a muted, dusty rose shade. It's perfect for those days when you want to exude an air of sophistication. The low saturation makes you appear calm and composed. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said this is my all-time favorite lipstick color. Oh, and despite my extremely chapped and dry lips, it applies incredibly smoothly. This lipstick is truly a gem that I adore. There's not much to dislike. The price might be the only drawback, but I think it's worth treating yourself to a high-end department store lipstick for this quality.
