The slim case makes it easy to carry around, and it applies in a thin layer. The color is a bit... overall, it has a grayish tinge to it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 17, 2020
First off, it covers my severe acne incredibly well... haha! The reason I gave it a high rating despite its drawbacks is because the coverage is that good! True to its name, it's really 'all day' - the staying power is top-notch (in terms of coverage)! Apply it once in the morning and it lasts until evening... wow! All the shades are too pale... I have fair skin, but it's so incredibly light that my face looks like it's floating. I tried both the pink and yellow tones, but couldn't really notice much difference! It breaks down okay, but the problem is that it gets very oily (I have extremely oily skin). I'd recommend this if you're all about coverage and nothing else. When choosing a cushion shade, go for one that's a tone darker! If you have oily skin, be prepared to use a lot of blotting papers! - rl*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 12, 2020
I bought a shade slightly lighter than my complexion, but it wasn't too bright and gave a nice, natural skin appearance. It has good coverage and hydration, making it comfortable to apply (by patting). The absorbs well is great! It's not really suitable for use during this season. It rubs off on masks quite badly. The staying power is practically zero. It doesn't adhere well to the skin, so it breaks down easily. Since it's summer, as oil builds up, the makeup tends to clump together, and by the time I get home, it's like it's all wiped off. Touch-ups seem to be a must throughout the day. Use this only for touch-ups or when you're stepping out for a short while. - ol*******Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsApr 19, 2020
I snagged this product at a great price during a sale. It provides a bit more coverage compared to other products. The way it breaks down isn't flattering, and since it's on the matte side, it tends to separate easily. This product only looks nice for the first hour or two after application. - Hwahae UserOily SkinMar 28, 2020
The best things about it are the excellent coverage and wide range of shades to choose from... The staying power is terrible. It settles into pores, clumps, and separates. In hot summer weather, it just lifts and pills. It applies too thick, leading to unattractive breakdown. If you're not careful, you can easily end up with a cakey finish. Unfortunately, it also caused significant darkening of my skin. - sm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityMar 13, 2020
The slim case fits easily into small bags, making it convenient to carry around. The coverage is quite good. While the coverage is good, it tends to look quite made-up and applies thickly. It also tends to separate around the nose and chin areas, so the staying power isn't great. Even within the same shade 21, there's a noticeable difference in brightness depending on whether it has a yellow or pink base. It's best to choose based on your complexion. - Hwahae UserOily SkinFeb 16, 2020
First off, I love that it's so affordable. The color is really pretty too. When you first apply it, your skin looks beautiful. While some base makeup might transfer a bit, this one is on another level. I answered a phone call and it left a huge mark on my phone, with a clear imprint on my face. And don't get me started on the included puff - I have no idea why it's even there. It has zero ability to help the product adhere to your skin. What's worse, I have super resilient skin, but this gave me blemishes I never had before. To top it all off, it emphasizes wrinkles like crazy. I definitely won't be repurchasing this. If you're still determined to try it, make sure to buy a separate puff. The one it comes with is so bad at helping the product stick to your skin, I honestly don't know why they even included it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinFeb 1, 2020
Coverage: Medium. It covers redness well, but blemish marks are still slightly visible. Complexion: My skin is a bit lighter than shade 21, and Petal looked the most natural on me. Longevity: Usually, everything I put on my skin breaks down quickly, but this lasted quite a while. Emphasizes dead skin cells: We all have a bit of flakiness on our face, right? This product is quite drying... very drying actually. Puff: I'm not sure if it's an issue with the puff or the product itself, but when you pat with the included puff, small white round pieces appear. It's fine if you use a different puff though. Try using a damp puff. If you're thorough with your skincare routine, it absorbs a bit better. Honestly, you might want to just try a different cushion foundation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 28, 2020
It's fine for a light application when going to school. The coverage is decent. I bought the wrong shade, and it really didn't suit me. It's so drying that it starts flaking off from my nose, and my skin gets oily quickly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 28, 2019
It's so affordable... haha! And it looks natural, as if you're not wearing any makeup. The coverage isn't great, and it darkens over time. The darkening is quite... noticeable. I have dry-leaning skin, so even when I apply emulsion or essence before the cushion, it feels fine at first, but in winter it feels a bit dry... It doesn't crack badly, but it just feels dehydrated. So when I tried applying it with essence, it wore off quickly... I'm not really sure about this one. It's not bad. There will be people who really like it after trying, and students too! Since it's cheap, many use it. If you pat it on right after applying essence before it dries, you'll get that Inner Glow effect! Also, for those who struggle with contouring, if you draw the contour area with an eyebrow liner and then pat this on, it creates a natural-looking contour. This is my first review on Hwahae!
