I loved how it gave a natural complexion and felt less drying on my skin The packaging is the biggest letdown for me. I'm not a fan of using spatulas I mixed it with NARS foundation, and for dry winters, it works perfectly when combined with facial oil - cs*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 5, 2021
It's quite lightweight for a foundation. The signature Armani powdery finish is quite nice too. The color can turn a bit grayish if you apply too much. Unfortunately, it accentuates dead skin cells on my skin. I'm not sure if it's my lack of technique or insufficient skincare prep. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 17, 2020
As someone who prefers hydration, I've already gone through two bottles of this foundation. Despite the eye-watering price, I personally think it's worth every penny. It's especially indispensable during fall and winter - I can't imagine going without it! The dewy finish might not suit those with oily skin, as it could lead to makeup breakdown. However, it's perfect for those with drier skin like mine. The coverage is medium, which feels just right - not too heavy or cakey. On days when I wear this foundation, I often receive compliments on my skin. It's definitely my most treasured foundation in my collection! The jar packaging makes hygiene maintenance challenging. The cream formula can be a bit inconvenient to open and close. The slight yellow undertone of the shade is a minor drawback. The spatula that comes with the foundation requires constant cleaning for storage, which can be a bit of a hassle. Using cotton swabs to scoop out the product might be more hygienic. Applying with a sponge seems to give the most beautiful finish. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedSep 14, 2020
I've been a foundation nomad, but this product has been my holy grail for 7-8 years now. With my extremely dry skin, this is the only one that doesn't flake and adheres perfectly to my skin. I can't use anything else. It offers decent coverage while not being drying, making it an excellent product. Although it's a bit inconvenient to use, the fact that it's not a pump but a fully open type allows me to use every last bit without waste. One purchase lasts me almost a year! It's a bit disappointing that the price increases slightly each year, but considering I use it for nearly a year, it doesn't seem too expensive. - so*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedSep 1, 2020
For skin tones lighter than shade 17, it might be a bit dark, but it's a beautiful ivory color without any redness, so I'd recommend it for fair olive complexions! The application is rich yet smooth, and it offers good coverage among Armani foundations. It creates a moisturized skin with a luxurious glow. The signature Armani foundation scent is also wonderful! It tends to apply thickly. I wish there was a brighter shade with a yellow base. The jar packaging is a bit concerning in terms of hygiene. The price is quite steep. Due to its rich texture, it can apply a bit thick, so for the most beautiful skin finish, it's best to apply thin layers rather than trying to cover everything at once. Since it comes in a jar, it's more convenient and hygienic to transfer a small amount to a separate container for use. - sn******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 21, 2020
This product offers comfort to dry skin with its moisturizing and smooth cream-like application. It's perfect for light makeup as it doesn't provide heavy coverage. Even in the depths of winter, it keeps your skin hydrated without causing foundation to separate or dead skin cells to appear. When my skin was extremely parched, I managed to use up two bottles of this completely. While it's more hydrating compared to other foundations, it's a bit disappointing considering its steep price of over 130,000 won. Since this product has low coverage, it's best to mix it with a higher coverage product for optimal results. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 22, 2020
It's great for dry skin as it doesn't cake and keeps the skin moisturized. I love how it gives a subtle glow, making the skin look beautiful. It's also nice that it naturally adjusts to match your complexion. The downside is that because it looks so natural, the coverage seems a bit light, which is a bit disappointing. - ji******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 21, 2020
I use Armani Designer Shaping Cream Foundation in shades 3 and 4, but since I don't see it on Hwahae, I'm leaving my review here. First off, this foundation was recommended by a famous makeup artist online a while back, which piqued my interest. I happened to try a sample and absolutely fell in love with it. 1. The adherence is excellent. Usually, foundations tend to separate if your skincare base isn't solid, but this one seems to blend well even with minimal prep. 2. True to its name as a cream foundation, it applies smoothly and feels hydrating, not drying. 3. Despite its creamy texture, the coverage is still quite good. 4. It even covers pores to some extent without needing a separate primer. 5. About an hour or two after application, it develops a subtle glow. It wears beautifully! I finally understood why people splurge on such an expensive foundation. Ultimately, I went to the department store and bought the full-size product. For reference, shade 3 is a yellow-based tone equivalent to shade 21, while shade 4 is a pink-based tone closer to shade 22. I switch between them depending on my mood or the look I'm going for that day. The downsides are probably something everyone can relate to: 1. The packaging The jar format is really inconvenient. I wish they would do something about this, seriously! I've resorted to transferring it into small travel-sized cream containers for easier use. 2. The price It's expensive, even for a high-end product... That's why I'm deducting one star. Still, I haven't found a foundation that satisfies me as much as this one, so I keep using it. This foundation really makes my skin look good. I find it challenging to use a foundation brush with this. Instead, I just pat it on with a Ruby Cell puff. It covers well and allows for super-quick base makeup application. If you have dry skin, a light mist might work well with this too. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 7, 2019
What I love most is how it keeps my skin hydrated all day long, even hours after application I wish the container was a squeeze tube or pump bottle instead of a jar you have to dip into - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 3, 2019
Usually cream-type foundations are too thick, but this one is pleasantly moisturizing. Liquid types are often hydrating but lack coverage, whereas this has just the right amount of coverage. It's quite expensive, unfortunately. Although it lasts a long time, the cream-type is still pricey. On particularly dry days, it works even better when mixed with facial oil or a hydrating moisturizer.
