I heard about Skinfood's First Serum being popular, so after some online research, I decided to give it a try. Honestly, while using it, I didn't notice much difference, but after switching to other products for a few days, the contrast became quite apparent. Not only does it improve dead skin cells, but it also leaves my skin feeling refreshed after cleansing. It's hard to describe, but it feels invigorating. The thick, high-quality cotton pads that come with it seem to enhance this refreshing, satisfying finish. As someone with sensitive skin, I usually do patch tests before trying new products, but I used this without testing first. Surprisingly, it didn't cause any blemishes and worked really well for me. I liked it so much that I'm definitely considering repurchasing.
ConsThe product volume is quite small... It might be because I use it generously, but the amount feels insufficient. Also, the bottle opening is inconvenient as the product doesn't come out easily. I often have to shake and tap the bottle upside down. Apart from these issues, I think it's a good product.

When I applied it with a cotton pad to wipe my face, it gently removed dead skin cells and seemed to control sebum on my nose bridge. With consistent use, I felt my complexion became a bit clearer and brighter. Also, I liked that the Light version had a lightweight feel, leaving minimal residue on the face. The Essential version, when used as a wipe-off toner, gave me a slightly tingly sensation.
ConsWhen used on bad skin days, it can cause a burning sensation and feel irritating. Applying emulsion or cream right after helps, but it takes time to adjust. It's fine to use daily in summer, but in winter, it might be better to reduce usage to 2-3 times a week. By the time I finished a bottle, my complexion looked brighter, but it seemed to plateau at that level. However, not using it sometimes made my skin look dull again. Also, the price-to-volume ratio is a bit disappointing. Using it as a wipe-off toner, I'd finish a bottle in about a month to a month and a half, and I remember always waiting for sales.
TipEven if you don't see visible changes, consistent use will gradually reveal more refined skin.
