It absorbs well into the skin without feeling sticky, and above all, the fragrance after application is absolutely delightful. I mistakenly thought this was the previous version with great ingredients. It's hard to tell if it's effective or not. For me, it doesn't seem to have any significant advantages. As soon as I applied it, I felt a burning sensation. When I checked the ingredients, I realized my mistake. They've added shea butter and stearic acid (not irritating ingredients, but can cause blemishes) that weren't in the original formula. Now I only use a small amount, and if I accidentally apply it too close to my eyes, they burn so much I can't open them. I definitely won't be repurchasing. You're probably better off not buying this.

Here's what my mom loves about this product: • Lightweight texture: She's thrilled with how it feels. The essence absorbs well under the eyes, isn't greasy or heavy. Other eye care products just sit on the skin, but 'This essence is the best eye product I've used so far!' • Tightening effect: The essence has a firming effect under the eyes and helps with fine lines. • Squeeze-type packaging: The product isn't exposed to air like in a jar. Since it's a squeeze-type, there's less chance of contamination. • Scent: Mom enjoys the fermented fragrance. It smells like herbs - very natural! What I love about the product: • Texture: (My thoughts align with mom's!) • Brightening effect: When I use this essence, I notice a brightening effect under my eyes. It gives a fresh look to the under-eye area. • Purple packaging: Since I loved purple in my youth, this packaging is comforting! When I use it, I feel a stinging sensation under my eyes. Mom wonders, 'Is that the firming effect?' I'm not sure...
