  Pros

  I'm sad this product isn't more well-known because I absolutely love using it. That's why I'm writing this review... First off, it applies so smoothly. I've tried various matte lipsticks, but this one is truly soft and wonderful. It also doesn't come off easily, which is great. The color payoff is fantastic too. I'm quite sensitive to scents, and I really disliked the distinct smell of Clio's Matte Matte line. In fact, I've often been put off by the scents of many cosmetics, but this one has a pleasant fragrance that makes it enjoyable to use. Not just Goot Mauve, but the entire Rouge Hill Velvet line seems to be a hit. It truly lives up to its 'velvet' name.

  Cons

  The downside is that it's quite pricey for the amount you get. I don't apply it often, so it lasts me a while, but be aware that you might go through it quickly if you use it frequently. While Clio products tend to be on the expensive side in general, the price-to-volume ratio for this one is particularly steep, which is disappointing.

  It looks beautiful even with a quick application, so give it a try!

  Pros

  The color payoff is true to the product, without emphasizing dead skin cells. The chocolate scent isn't overpowering, which I found quite nice, and sometimes it even makes me crave chocolate. I was surprised by how smoothly it applies, like a soft pastry, with no clumping. The color is a perfect mix of deep undertones and winter cool tones, which I'm very satisfied with. It seems like a shade that would look even more striking on brighter skin.

  Cons

  It doesn't stain the lips, and the color comes off completely when eating or touching, so the staying power is practically non-existent. However, if you leave it alone, it stays put without any issues. But is that even possible?

  Tip

  A full lip application would look even more beautiful.

  Pros

  I loved the citrus scent and how the color applied true to the product. It glides on smoothly without emphasizing dead skin cells, and the staying power of about 4 hours is satisfying.

  Cons

  I wish the staying power was a bit longer, but what can you expect from the ingredients in a color cosmetic?

  Tip

  Instead of applying it fully, try dabbing it lightly with your finger and mixing it with your cushion foundation for a fantastic color.
