The color is quite unique and it's a shade I've always loved. This was my first time trying a Clio lip product, and it turned out to be absolutely stunning! Since it was my first time using this product, I wasn't familiar with the packaging. I accidentally scratched the lipstick, which really broke my heart. - mj**********Dry SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2021
:: Perfect for summer cool tones with a sophisticated vibe :: As someone with a light undertone, this is my go-to lipstick! Since I have a darker complexion, I prefer MLBB shades over very light colors. This good mauve shade is somewhat dark with a calm rose hue that suits me perfectly. :: Exfoliation is a must :: Due to the matte formula of this lipstick, if you don't exfoliate, it noticeably emphasizes dead skin cells, which can be bothersome. I highly recommend exfoliating before application. Rather than applying it alone, it looks much prettier when you apply a light base lip color first and then gradient this lipstick towards the inner part of your lips! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedNov 14, 2020
This shade is absolutely stunning! It's like I turned on LED lights, not just regular lighting, on my summer cool-toned face. The color is devilishly good, and the pigmentation is incredible. Watch out for dead skin cells... At first, when I applied it thinly, there was no issue. But later, as it faded a bit and I reapplied, that's when the dead skin cells started to become slightly visible. Apply it in a thin layer rather than thick, and you won't see any dead skin cells! The pigmentation is so good that even a thin layer gives you full color payoff! - 01*****Dry SkinInner DrynessRecommendedNov 11, 2020
🔥 Color 🔥 Light cool-toned beauties... grab this! Why haven't you bought it yet? For real... It's absolutely boss It's a god-tier mauve shade... With a perfect balance If you love mauve, just get it... 🔥 Color Payoff 🔥 It's great. The lipstick has a 'heel' shape, making it quite pointy. I applied it gently at first, but it showed incredibly vivid color payoff. *I tried the Instagram hand-swatch trend, but sadly it didn't fill in my palm lines (I have very faint palm lines though) 🔥 Staining Power, Longevity + Adherence 🔥 Well, it seems non-existent Haha, just kidding ^^ It does stain, but very lightly, showing the true color. (It's like the color you'd get if you used lipstick as a blush) The longevity is decent, probably due to its good adherence Doesn't feel heavy on the lips, just like your natural lips but slightly blurred - that's the velvet finish for you! 🔥 Transfer 🔥 It does transfer If you blot with a tissue about three times after application, it's fine Even after this, the color remains I personally reapply once and blot three more times (Reason: Just because) 🔥 Amount 🔥 Doesn't seem like much, probably due to the packaging and design Can't say the amount is great for the price I'm a sucker for design, so I'm using it anyway These days there are many discounts (due to expiration dates or discontinuation), so it's worth trying at least once 🔥 Packaging 🔥 (I've recently become picky about packaging - can't carry it if it's not pretty) As a designer, I can tell Rouge Heel Velvet's packaging has had a lot of thought put into it. First, black ++ expresses luxury, color suitable for all ages Stick = lip color ++ easy to check the shade Slim and sleek design representing a heel ++ seems like the best packaging choice Button-style opening ++ Am I the only one who likes this? It's convenient. Some say it's stiff, but if it were loose, your bag would be a mess. Some complain about smudging when twisting... After using the product, I wonder how they managed to twist without pressing. Impressive, haha! Clio engraving on the plastic cap and stick... Honestly, engraving is... expensive ^^ It's not just printed black text, but actual engraving - they really put effort into it. Lastly, the metal part where the lipstick comes out. It's metal... I like it Simple + Sexy + Urban + Edgy ====== Rouge Heel case ^^ The small amount The price compared to the amount... That's about it, haha Go for a full lip look! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 28, 2020
When I swatched it on the back of my hand, I thought the deep color wouldn't suit me, but it actually complements my skin tone surprisingly well. It's perfect as a natural lip color too. The texture is just right - not too matte, not too moisturizing. There are many similar shades out there, but somehow this one nailed it, and I keep using it exclusively. I absolutely love it! It's perfect as a base color! If you don't know about the clicking sound at the end and push it in, you're in for a messy surprise... The slightly deep shade is perfect for cool winter tones like mine. It's great on its own, but for an even prettier look, use it as a base and add a pop of color in the center of your lips! - hr****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 7, 2020
It glides on effortlessly with a matte finish that's not overwhelming. The color is the epitome of MLBB (My Lips But Better). While the staying power is a bit on the lower side, I appreciate that it doesn't leave any staining. - le*********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesSep 6, 2020
Color: This shade would look beautiful on summer muted skin tones, especially for those with darker complexions. It's a purple sweet potato color. Packaging: In my opinion, the case is simple yet attractive. I had no issues with the click-open mechanism. Price: I'm pleased with the price - got it during a sale for about 10,000 won for a 1+1 deal. They seem to have frequent sales lately. Dead skin cells/fine lines: It applies smoothly with a velvety finish and doesn't emphasize dead skin cells or fine lines. (Note: I generally don't have issues with dry lips) Product amount: Due to the slanted cut of the product, the actual amount is quite small. I expect it to last only about a month. Slanted shape: I wonder if the slant was intended for easier application, but I find it very inconvenient. Having to apply only with the slanted part causes uneven wear. Price: While I'm satisfied with the sale price, I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price. The amount is incredibly small, and the case feels somewhat flimsy. The quality doesn't seem to match the regular price. Staying power: The lipstick doesn't adhere well and comes off easily. After a bit of chatting, you might look in the mirror and wonder where it went. In conclusion, I rarely reach for this product. Oddly, I find I don't use sale items as much. I should focus on making wiser purchases and only buy what I truly need. - hy********Normal SkinRecommendedAug 1, 2020
The color is absolutely gorgeous! While it's not exactly a pure purple or plum shade, it's more of a deep purple with a hint of plum. It has a strong cool-toned vibe. I also love that you can open the lipstick with a click mechanism, which makes it so convenient and user-friendly. What's great is that it doesn't emphasize fine lines or dead skin cells on the lips. The staying power isn't the best... It tends to wear off quite easily. You might find yourself wondering, 'Where did it go?' after a while. Also, the amount of product isn't particularly generous. And there's zero staining effect! If you're looking for a cool-toned lip color, come on over! But don't worry, warm-toned beauties - this shade will suit you well too! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 30, 2020
- The mysterious purple hue really caught my eye - It has great staying power and excellent color payoff - No harsh chemical or artificial fragrance that stings your nose - The packaging is absolutely gorgeous - While the case looks pretty, the unique opening mechanism can be tricky. If you're not familiar with it, you might end up breaking the top like I did - It's extremely matte... It accentuates dead skin cells and, worst of all, it's so dry that it tugs and irritates your lips when applying - Lip balm is a must! Even if you apply it over lip balm, it still dries down to a matte finish - The color is too bold to use as a base. I'd recommend looking for a different shade for that purpose - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 23, 2020
I'm sad this product isn't more well-known because I absolutely love using it. That's why I'm writing this review... First off, it applies so smoothly. I've tried various matte lipsticks, but this one is truly soft and wonderful. It also doesn't come off easily, which is great. The color payoff is fantastic too. I'm quite sensitive to scents, and I really disliked the distinct smell of Clio's Matte Matte line. In fact, I've often been put off by the scents of many cosmetics, but this one has a pleasant fragrance that makes it enjoyable to use. Not just Goot Mauve, but the entire Rouge Hill Velvet line seems to be a hit. It truly lives up to its 'velvet' name. The downside is that it's quite pricey for the amount you get. I don't apply it often, so it lasts me a while, but be aware that you might go through it quickly if you use it frequently. While Clio products tend to be on the expensive side in general, the price-to-volume ratio for this one is particularly steep, which is disappointing. It looks beautiful even with a quick application, so give it a try!
