It leaves a soft, powdery finish without any stickiness. Being a stick format, it's super easy to apply with just a few swipes.
ConsThere's a slight feeling of heaviness that I can't ignore. While it's unavoidable with stick products, it does tend to attract dust easily. Occasionally, it can clump up, requiring a bit of patting with your fingers to smooth it out.

I was hesitant to use it on my face due to concerns about clogging pores. When applied, it leaves the skin feeling soft and gives a radiant glow, almost as if you've dusted on a subtle shimmer!
ConsUnfortunately, it felt a bit heavy on the skin, which made it less appealing to reach for regularly.

First, when testing on the back of my hand in-store, it felt extremely powdery, just as advertised. However, it's worth noting that almost all sunscreens and sun sticks feel powdery when applied to the back of the hand, so don't be fooled by that. When used on the face, at first I thought, 'Huh? It's just greasy,' but after a few minutes, it became powdery! It manages to fulfill its role as a somewhat powdery sun stick.
ConsApplication: How can the application be this bad..? Is it because they pursued the powdery finish too much? (1) When applying to the skin, it doesn't spread evenly but clumps up, requiring you to blend it again with your hands. Sometimes, chunks fall off. The whole point of using a sun stick was to avoid using hands during touch-ups, but without using hands, you'd have to walk around with white patches all over your face. It also feels stuffy. Price and quantity: This product is 15.5g for 22,000 won. Compared to other sun sticks ranked higher on Hwahae, it's ridiculously expensive. Usually, sun sticks around 15g cost about 14,000-15,000 won. Packaging: Why is it so big when there isn't even that much product..? It's heavy too. If you go to Olive Young, compare the size of this product with other 15g products. Conclusion & Recommendation: Is it really necessary..?

It seems to work like a primer too!
ConsIt can feel a bit heavy on the skin, and I wish you got more product for the price.

When applied before makeup, it definitely has a bit of a primer effect. It's easy to layer on for additional coverage.
ConsIt feels like it's clogging my pores, which makes my skin feel a bit suffocated. Not recommended for those with dry skin.
TipFor those with combination dehydrated skin, you might want to layer a hydrating product underneath for better moisture balance.

I have a mild sun allergy, sweat a lot on my face, and easily get flushing in winter and red heat in summer. I get hives under sunlight, so I apply sunscreen 365 days a year, even indoors (reapplying more than 3 times a day). Can't use powder on my face. In midsummer, I use sunscreen all over my body, applying different products to different areas. * Considerations when buying sunscreen: 1. Is it sticky? Does it feel oily? 2. Can it be reapplied multiple times? (Assuming proper amount is used for initial application) * Products used: [List of 29 sunscreen products] * Please note that all opinions and evaluations are based on personal experience. 3. (Make P:rem) Blue Ray Sun Stick ★★ No stickiness × No white cast × OK to reapply three times a day It's transparent, so sometimes it's hard to tell where you've applied it. When layered over other sunscreens, it can feel like it's pilling. I mainly use it around my eyes (up to the cheekbones) when I'm going out briefly with a hat and mask on. It's also great as a neck sunscreen. I have oily, sweaty skin. This works well in spring and fall, but in summer, the oil breaks through the initial powdery finish, making it feel sticky. In winter, it lacks moisture and can make makeup applied over it crack. The immediate powdery finish without heaviness is a plus, but...
ConsSometimes that powdery finish becomes a drawback, feeling like you've applied a ton of powder to your face, which can be stuffy or itchy. I intentionally avoid using powder for various reasons, but occasionally this stick feels like it's stuck in my pores.
TipRecommended as a sun stick for those who like a powdery finish. It has noticeably less oiliness, greasiness, and stickiness compared to other sun sticks, making it pleasant to use.

Its small size makes it great for on-the-go.
Cons- Causes eye irritation - Pilling and separation when used with foundation - Excess oil builds up over time - Feels a bit heavy on the skin - Causes blemishes after use There might be pore-clogging ingredients, as large blemishes appear in multiple areas every time I use it, even with breaks between applications. Can't use it on my face. Note: According to a professional editor's ingredient analysis, it's hard to call this a 'clean' product due to its high polyethylene (microplastic) content.
TipWhile it's said to be less sticky, it feels heavy after applying the stick. It's difficult to apply on curved areas like the nose bridge, so you need to pat it in with your fingers.

The high SPF is reassuring. However, apart from these points...
ConsDespite my dry skin, this product feels excessively rich. The description claims it's powdery, but that's not the case at all. When applied, my face feels suffocated. It doesn't absorb well at all, feeling like a mask on my face. It's uncomfortable, itchy, and attracts dust and hair. There's no way I could apply makeup over this. I was excited to be chosen as a Hwahae Tester, and I'd like to write a positive review if possible, but I can't bring myself to be dishonest.
TipOnly use this on makeup-free days if you're confident going bare-faced.

I love how it absorbs without being sticky and leaves a fresh finish. It's clear and lightweight, feeling like you're not wearing anything at all. Unlike other sunscreens, it doesn't leave a white cast and allows for smooth makeup application, giving a more polished look. The scent is a subtle lemon-herb fragrance, which is quite pleasant. Its compact size fits perfectly in your hand, making it easy to use and carry around. With high SPF and a clean feel, I think I'll use this comfortably and often.
ConsThe amount seems a bit small for the price, but I guess that's similar to other sun sticks. Also, after wearing it for a long time, my pores feel slightly clogged and itchy, like with other sun care products. Its lightweight and transparent feel is both a pro and a con - it's hard to tell where you've applied it and where you haven't.
TipAfter your skincare routine, just swipe it on for quick sun protection on busy mornings. Personally, I gently pat it in with my fingers before applying makeup.
