It's like I'm not wearing anything... but it's not exactly matte either? First off, I have combination dehydrated, sensitive skin that tends to get oilier in the summer. I've tried various sunscreens during the hot months, but nothing really clicked. So I decided to give this sunstick a shot, hoping for something easy to apply with solid UV protection. And I have to say, out of all the sunsticks I've used, this one takes the cake! - Mattifying effect: I can confidently say this has the least rich feel of any sunstick I've tried! While it's not as lightweight as if you'd powdered your face, you can use this on its own without feeling like an oil slick. Those with oily skin should be pretty satisfied with its semi-matte finish. - Lightweight: It's surprisingly light on the skin. You'll definitely feel like you're wearing something, but there's zero stickiness or discomfort when you touch your face or body after application. I could totally see using this on my arms and legs too! - Design: The packaging is genius - long and teardrop-shaped, making it easy to cover both large areas and tricky spots. It's perfect for getting into all the contours of your face. - Amount: Compared to other sunsticks I own, this one's pretty generous with the product. Especially since the formula is so light, you might find yourself applying more liberally. But don't worry, the amount you get for the price is quite reasonable! - Sun protection: While the true test is in consistent use, it boasts SPF50+ and PA++++. Given its semi-matte formula, it should hold up well against sweat, so I'm expecting solid UV protection. If I had to nitpick, the one downside would be the application. Since it's designed for a more matte finish, it does drag a bit when you're putting it on. I absolutely hate when my skin gets oily, so I only used toner before applying the sunstick. Compared to other sunsticks, it definitely doesn't glide on as smoothly. Because of this, I found myself going over areas multiple times, which might lead to over-application. To improve the application, I've found that layering toner about 3 times before using the sunstick really helps! If you have combination dehydrated or oily skin like me, this method should prevent any tightness while keeping excess oil at bay. - ha********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedMay 28, 2025
It's not sticky at all, and after applying, your skin feels soft and velvety. I usually avoid sunscreens or sun sticks because of their sticky texture, but I'll definitely repurchase this one when I run out. The only downside, which is probably just personal preference, is that I'm not a fan of the scent. It has a cool, somewhat watermelon-like fragrance.
